Report in a couple of papers this morning...
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10536737/West-End-drama-gender-neutral-toilets-Theatregoers-blast-gross-restrooms.html
I might have gone (if the tickets hadn't been so expensive) but I shall certainly make a note to avoid this theatre in the future...
@Kimilybob the ones at my daughter's school were extra diversity and inclusion, because no one used them and teeneagers went there to have sex (because no one used them)
If there were heterosexual couples using them, then doesn't that just prove that mixed-sex toilets are a good thing and are encouraging inclusivity?

Hmm

How many fingers.

Waitwhat23 · 23/02/2022 10:43

But behind the scenes, some theatregoers were 'mortified' to encounter the updated toilets which left women with 'no choice' but to pass men using urinals to reach the cubicles.

Guess what? Women hate gender neutral toilets...

@Kimilybob

I would question the reason for their existence....if they existed.
They do exist. I have been one somewhere in the UK on my trips around in the past two years. A male toilet that simply had the sticker replaced with a 'toilet' sign and no sex designation.

I cannot give you a location because I travel a lot. But, the article states quite clearly where the one relevant to the thread was.

But do please crack on with your denial that they exist.

And it cannot be said any more clearer or any more times that they exist due to organisations taking a quick and no cost approach to have 'gender neutral' toilets that they may need for Stonewall points, or for funding from specific providers, or just fucking laziness.

You might also like to address your other enlightening posts about people who actually have told you the other reasons that 'gender neutral' toilets don't work in very practical ways.

But, maybe your aim here is just to admonish and denigrate others who hold a different opinion to yours.

VirginMedium · 23/02/2022 10:41

it becomes 'forcing' when there is no other option, doesn't it. you can down play this, because a woman can of course 'choose' not to go to the toilet, or exit the theatre and find a pub or something with a toilet they can use

LunaLights · 23/02/2022 10:40

From the ARTICLE linked in the OP, the one this thread is about….

“A real West End drama over gender-neutral toilets: Theatregoers blast 'gross' restrooms where women are forced to file past men at urinals”

And

“The Playhouse, in Covent Garden, has received rave reviews for its rendition of Cabaret, which explores promiscuity and gender fluidity at The Kit Kat Klub, a seedy nightclub in 1930s Berlin.

But behind the scenes, some theatregoers were 'mortified' to encounter the updated toilets which left women with 'no choice' but to pass men using urinals to reach the cubicles.”

Kimilybob · 23/02/2022 10:38

Yes teenagers will be teenagers but thats not fircing women to use mens toilets.

Kimilybob · 23/02/2022 10:36

Those theatre toikets have separate cubicle not sharing uninal space and areas with men....:rolleyes

VirginMedium · 23/02/2022 10:35

VirginMedium · 23/02/2022 10:33

@Kimilybob, so the inference is now that if they DID exist you would object?

Kimilybob · 23/02/2022 10:33

The kind of toukets that dont exist are ones with urinals encouraging women and girls to go in and use them.

Waitwhat23 · 23/02/2022 10:32

@Kimilybob

Ive simply asked where they are. Youd think id be simple for someone to give a location.

As i said, chasing ghosts.

Playhouse Theatre in London

As stated in the article.

LunaLights · 23/02/2022 10:32

Read the article.

Or

Read the posts that have responded to your drivel.

VirginMedium · 23/02/2022 10:31

@Kimilybob in my daughter's previous school is where some of them are

@Kimilybob

No i say toilets like this dont exist which they dont. I think some have chosen anything to moan about whether in reality or otherwise.
Is this like the 'communal changing rooms with no cubicles' don't exist tactic?

The do exist, I have been in them. Others have also stated they have been in them.

Just because you, personally, have not be in them doesn't mean they cease to exist. Just because you, personally, feel absolutely fine with only having gender neutral facilities doesn't mean the needs of others do not exist where only single sex facilities will work.

Are you having a bad day? Because you made another strange comment on another thread?

Can you explain exactly what toilets you are claiming don't exist?
LunaLights · 23/02/2022 10:16

How many times can it be said READ THE ARTICLE @Kimilybob.

READ THE ARTICLE

READ THE ARTICLE.

It does happen, it did happen and it will happen.

FFS read the article and stop making such ignorant remarks.

NecessaryScene · 23/02/2022 10:15

No i say toilets like this dont exist which they dont.

"Like this" being the ones at the Playhouse Theatre in London, described in the article.

So how far does this belief system of yours go? Hmm

Does the Playhouse Theatre exist?

Does London exist?

Does this forum even exist?

Kimilybob · 23/02/2022 10:11

VirginMedium · 23/02/2022 09:41

It shows the lies because it shows the males are quite happy to invite the same men who would apparently beat them up if they used the mens into spaces with them

excellent point @Whatwouldscullydo

YouSetTheTone · 23/02/2022 09:39

@MarshmallowSwede

Women’s access and ability to participate in activities outside of the home was greatly limited by lack of access to toilet facilities.

So again.. I ask what is the end goal of this? Women getting back in the home? Women not being able to go far from home to do activities and socialise?

We are seeing things go backwards for women and sometimes they are so small and insidious we miss them.

If a woman cannot see to her toilet needs safely she will not go out. If a woman is afraid of strange men walking into the toilet with her and her children she will not go out.

So.. women are being limited yet again. It’s not about “accessibility for non binary or trans”. It’s about limiting women yet again.

There is no reason to turn women’s toilets into gender neutral (aka men can use them). Why not create an extra toilet for those who are trans and non binary?

People can continue to pretend like this is done in the spirit of “inclusivity”, if they like. But it’s always been about giving men more unrestrained, unrestricted access to women and limiting womens ability to move freely and have any privacy from men.

Who on earth thinks men need to be in the toilet with women? They don’t mean anything good for women at all if they think this is ok.

Exactly. Can any of the defenders of mixed sex loos actually point to any benefit to women? If ‘I don’t care so other people shouldn’t care either’ is about as positive as it gets, then WHY would any sane woman agree to a change in policy/ set up that has NO actual benefit (and a long list of disadvantages)?
VirginMedium · 23/02/2022 09:39

@Kimilybob

I am disabled and I very much want female only toilets for my privacy and dignity

there are many cultures where men and women don't mix freely and it would be unthinkable for a woman/girl to go into a toilet where men are urinated. there are going to be alot of girls that wouldn't dare and would rather retain urine. I get cystitis just thinking about this. but it's resolved is it because @kimilybob says they don't have any cultural reason to need female only toilets. that's really very arrogant and also pretty xenophobic
