@Kanaloa

They really skated over the ‘has already been convicted of sexually assaulting an underage girl.’ It really adds to the overall picture.

Don’t know what you’re supposed to really think about this whole case. I did highly rate one of the witnesses noting that they wore ‘an ill fitting wig.’ You wonder what the point of the sex register is really though, when someone can be on it and still expose their penis and commit sexual acts in public as they like.

But what name are they on the sex register under? Or are they on it under both names or only the female name now - with the previous acts having vanished under the “deadnaming” provisions…?

Ah, so that's what it's like to feel like a woman, and act like a woman. I've been doing it wrong all these years.

I think there has to be a tipping point soon as I hate to think how messed up our children are going to be.

@DomesticatedZombie

Oh, the comments are not having it. And are clearly seeing all the issues we discuss here.

Ms Thompson is "an individual who feels, at this point in her life, very optimistic and hopeful for the future"

Really, does she, aye?

I often wonder what is going through the head of defence lawyers when they're reeling off the sob stories. Surely "he's only misunderstood, pretty please give him another chance" isn't much of a defence.
BuanoKubiamVej · 18/02/2022 00:08

This is brilliant reporting. If the article was just "man flashes his dick in public" people would sigh and shrug and agree that perverts will always be more common than we would like to think. "Woman flashes her penis in public" breaks no rules, but makes it perfectly clear not only what happened but also why it's important to pay attention. Bravo, that tabloid.

GibbonsGoatsGibbons · 17/02/2022 23:53

DomesticatedZombie
Your regular reminder that indecent exposure and exhibitionism is a paraphilia that can escalate and is not something to be dismissed as minor.
Always an important reminder.

I saw this headline earlier today as "exposed her manhood" which was nicely on point I thought. (I assume the record have changed it because it was too accurate Hmm)

DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 17/02/2022 22:54

This is clearly a game of 'say this is a man without saying this is a man' . Fucking IPSO.

Love the badly fitting wig line.

@Georgeskitchen

Nowadays I feel like the boy in The Emperor's New clothes Anyone else feel like this?
All the time. And I’m pretty sure most other people who read about it feel the same. But at present very few dare to risk losing their jobs or getting hounded on social media. When the empire starts to crack up, I think it will crumble quickly.
NutsOhHazelnuts · 17/02/2022 22:47

I think Fair Play for Women were bringing a challenge to the IPSO guidelines, though I’m not sure where that is atm. Anyone have any up to date info on that?

Oh yes, I vaguely remember hearing this in the past. I too would be interested to know what's happening with it.

Theimpossiblegirl · 17/02/2022 22:39

I've never flashed my penis.
Oh, because I don't have one and I'm not a sex predator pretending to be a woman to access their safe spaces.

Rhannion · 17/02/2022 22:36

And the careful wording too.

Rhannion · 17/02/2022 22:35

@RoaringtoLangClegintheDark

I actually think that they’ve done the very best they can within the IPSO guidelines with this report.

They don’t refer to him as a woman once. It’s always circumvented: the terms they use to refer to him are: Scot, former soldier, and Glasgow born sex offender. All of which, in isolation, are more likely to evoke someone male than female (whether because of male as default, or the fact that most soldiers and sex offenders actually are male).

They have to use “her” because of the IPSO guidelines, as others have said, but they couldn’t make it any clearer that this is a man, with the many references to “her” penis, and to people identifying him as male.

An article like this is a good way to wake people up to what is happening as a result of genderist ideology, how far the rot has gone, and the need to challenge these ludicrous guidelines - and the comments reflect that.

I certainly don’t get the impression the writer actually believes this a woman, or wants others to believe this is a woman, not for a nano second.

Of course it’s madness that they have to go along with the charade that there’s anything female about him, but I think they’ve done a pretty good job of getting around and even highlighting the madness.

The real scandal is that these IPSO guidelines were ever introduced, and are still in use; and that the Equal Treatment Bench Book was similarly drafted according to the demands of trans rights activists, making a mockery of the legal process in every one of these cases.

The near-total capture of the Establishment is the problem, and that’s what needs to be challenged. I think Fair Play for Women were bringing a challenge to the IPSO guidelines, though I’m not sure where that is atm. Anyone have any up to date info on that?

Totally agree with you. The photos tell the story.
M0RVEN · 17/02/2022 22:26

17 convictions for 22 offences ! So assuming that only a small proportion of offences are reported and receive a conviction - that’s probably hundreds of offences and victims.

Just as well the victims are only women and children and not real people.

RoaringtoLangClegintheDark · 17/02/2022 22:17

And as others have said, good job he’s being sentenced in England and not Scotland, and so won’t get sent to a women’s prison just on his own say so - but there’s a danger he’ll avoid prison altogether because he’s so “vulnerable” and a men’s prison would be so “difficult” for him. I hope the judge has more sense than that.

This man who has already been convicted of sexually assault against a girl, and has now chosen to expose himself to children - specifically girls - is not really the vulnerable one here.

It’s all in the way the questions are phrased in that poll.

QuinkWashable · 17/02/2022 21:24

wow - the data, including questions, is available if you follow the links through.

DuesToTheDirt · 17/02/2022 21:04

@crowsfeet57

If he acts like a man, wanks like a man and has a penis why the hell is he being described as 'she.'

When will this utter lunacy end?

Exactly, The BBC poll published today suggests substantial numbers of people support self-ID, easier gender recognition, and access for transmen to women's spaces, surprisingly with more women in favour of this than men.

"On the issue of prisons, there were slightly more people in favour of transgender women being housed in women's prisons (33% v 27%) but there were a lot of people who did not know. One in five neither agree nor disagree (21%), while a further one in five say they don't know (18%)."

I wonder if the people supporting these measures genuinely think that if someone identifies as a women that means they think, behave, and act like a woman. I bet they don't realise the sort of "women" that can end up in women's prisons.

SisterRuth · 17/02/2022 21:00

@Zerogravity

Why are the feelings of one pervert prioritized over the feelings of thousands of women who have to read this nonsense?
This is exactly it. Any man's feelings come before every woman's safety. I could scream.
Humbold · 17/02/2022 20:57

I bet Chloe wishes Chloe still lived in Scotland because it would be straight into a female prison and all the child and adult witnesses could be prosecuted for hate crimes for misgendering a member of one of the most vulnerable and persecuted groups in existence. Shock and revulsion is no excuse for not validating this woman's identity as they copulated with a wheelie bin and publicly expressed their feminine desires with a sex toy. Learn not to look people.

NecessaryScene · 17/02/2022 20:52

IPSO dictate preferred pronouns must be used.

I think a hell of a lot more people would prefer "he" was used.

The paper isn't being written for the offender's benefit.

Riapia · 17/02/2022 20:33

You really want to deny a woman the right to have a penis.
Mysogynists the lot or you.

I do wonder at this being the top story on the record site in the same day as the reports about a survey on gender recognition are in the news…
