Just because I know there are some fans here!

Amazon has the hardcover book at 50% off... so £12.50 rather than £25, plus free delivery on release day. 30th August.

944 pages!

Pretty excited myself.

I know JK has really started to carve out a feminist identity for Robin which I love.

Much as I like the Strike books (and being the main character, of course), but, why would I pre order six months in advance, especially for the Audible version?

littlbrowndog · 14/02/2022 22:18

Gawd am whining. 🤣🤣🤣

Shut up me

littlbrowndog · 14/02/2022 22:16

So skint at moment. Will wait till it comes into charity shops.

Bloody gas prices and petrol prices. Killing me

@GreenTeaPingPong

Oh, great thank you! When is the TV series of Troubled Blood coming out, anyone know?
They are filming it just now, so maybe end of the year?

@PostThenGhost

Brilliant!

I can’t watch them though. The strike I have in my head would be ruined. I’ve seen a clip and that was enough.

I would agree normally but the adaptations are actually very true to the spirit of the books and the casting has been done very well.

Good news. I am trying to remember if I've already pre-ordered this. This happened once before and we ended up with two copies (one of the Harry Potter books, came in handy actually, cut down the waiting time as there were three of us in the house who wanted to read the latest instalment).

HairyPotter · 14/02/2022 22:12

Thanks, I’ve pre ordered on Audible.

Pre-order is open for the audiobook, too. Roll on August!

Thank you! I'll get it ordered.

Ooh thanks, have ordered. Love these books.

[quote PurgatoryOfPotholes]Waterstones has matched the offer and you can get Waterstones points.

Given some of the heartburn about Waterstones, this would be particularly gratifying.

LaPufalina · 14/02/2022 21:18

Thanks Smile

Repetitivebeats · 14/02/2022 20:56

Fabulous thanks! I considered getting it on Kindle as I have the hardback of Troubled Blood and it gave me wrist ache but decided to just do plenty of arm exercises before August and get the hardback to complete my collection

milski · 14/02/2022 20:52

This is the best news I've had all week! Granted it's only Monday Grin. Thank you for the post. I'm off to pre-order. August seems so far away. I might re-read all of them again.

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 14/02/2022 20:50

Definitely more satisfying reading them in order.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 14/02/2022 20:49

Entire collection so far for under £35

@LaPufalina

Is it best to read them in order or are they stand-alone?
I think they can stand alone, but you get more from reading them in order.
LizzieSiddal · 14/02/2022 20:46

I’ve just finished Trouble Blood, absolutely loved it and so glad I won’t have to wait too long for the next one. Thank you for the heads up!

mum2jakie · 14/02/2022 20:39

Looking forward to reading this although I never buy hardbacks.

Abhannmor · 14/02/2022 20:28

They won't get one red cent out of me. Not even for JKR. I'll stick with Blackwells or a shop.
