Even aside from this issue, this is one of my bugbears. Excess qualifiers - saying something longer when something shorter would be more accurate. It signals either deliberate obfuscation or lazy thinking.

Use of "LGBTQ+" in a statement almost always makes it less accurate or precise than using either "LGB" or "NBTG". There's so little commonality.

And that's even before you call an individual LGBTQ+. What a busy/confused person.

She is very wrong, but this is a situation that requires immediate pushback. The GC fems I know also speak out against surrogacy, porn, the rebranding of prostitution, the recent deaths in Poland of women who have been denied abortions, misogyny in the police force.

Lets not pretend the trans issue is just one thing either, it's a free speech issue, its a child protection issue, it an issue for LGB people, it's a womens rights issue.

No, they were split because TRAs have had MN running scared. That's why this is the most moderated, most watched board on the site with its own set of language restrictions. If you don't know what a woman is, you can't name your oppression or the issues that pertain to you as a woman. GC feminism is not for shits and giggles. It's not even about transpeople per se. It's about defending women's rights against an onslaught of male entitlement seeking to roll us back several decades to when women had no voices.

If you don't like what we talk about, why are you here? Go to the other board and have the discussions you want. Why are you trying to silence those of us having a discussion in this place?
