Quite a balanced article, I think. Doesn’t Metro normally steer clear of this type of topic too?

Not many comments so far, but as yet, they’re all Team Joe.

The worst thing about her tweets is that she make it sounds like he was bullying her at work. Someone questioned her and she was clear that wasn't the case but if you didn't read all the comments, you would definitely come away thinking that he had been unpleasant to her.

Did it never occur to Annie that no one was forcing them to follow him on Twitter? And all he was doing was retweeting Maya etc, not ranting on about Annie or any other trans people. What a horrible bully Annie is.

Yes. And I think she's gotten used to being able to play the 'Untouchable Transwoman' card whenever she wanted a bit of attention. Free publicity and a lovely soapbox for indulging a sense of entitled rightness. Don't think she's noticed that the mood of the room has started to shift and she can't just word vomit whatever comes into her self-obsessed noggin quite as consequence-freely as she has been accustomed to..

I think you are right, Harold. Pretty despicable to attempt to trash a fellow actor's good name like this for the sake of some column inches, though. Poor menz hurty feelz..

I find it difficult to read those whiny comments Annie is making. Annie is demanding people don't express an opinion that differs from Annie's. I wonder if Joe will get a visit from the police to check his thinking.

So. He was "perfectly nice", it "was not workplace bullying", but simply "differences of opinion on trans issues". So where is the need, what is the justification for this retrospective chucking of toys out of the pram? Didn't we get rid of "No Debate"?
