@thinkingaboutLangCleg

A bully gets bullied by other bigger bullies. What a shame. But I’ll keep my sympathy for the Green Party women who have had to work around KB for so long.
That's about the size of it.

Big fleas have little fleas
upon their backs to bite em
Little fleas have lesser fleas
And so ad infinitum

How kind, sympathetic and accepting has Kat been previously of others who have not accepted the amazingness of Kats employers and their views previously?

Lovelyricepudding · 27/01/2022 11:38

@WandaWomblesaurus73

"Management only cares about the number of unanswered requests going down and will punish staff if they go too far outside what the company's predefined responses say."

Says Kat.

Whilst the script they are required to say is likely just a sales script, it could also contain elements of medical advice and probably carefully constructed to not too boldly overstep the law of their operating country. No wonder they didn't want someone completely unqualified going off script.
Needmoresleep · 27/01/2022 10:12

More worrying is the idea that KB is both naïve seriously misguided and has genuinely believed the gender stuff, including the idea that their behaviour towards women is acceptable.

A quick diagnosis from a non medical person. The cogitative dissonance when then faced with reality, including how you are expected to behave as an employee, especially a not very good one, is likely to lead to mental health issues.

This is why I worry for young trans people, including, say, Lily Madigan. They are lauded and applauded but no one checks their behaviour and tells them when it is unacceptable. Then, when they need to operate in a world outside their bubble, reality hits and any mental fragility is exposed. Not least they may start to realise they were being used.

Lordamighty · 27/01/2022 09:12

I’m playing my tiny 🎻 for KB & their woes.

WandaWomblesaurus73 · 27/01/2022 09:10

Maybe Kat is attempting to jump ship and accuse Gender GP of being mean to Kat so that Kat doesn't go down with the ship.

Soontobe60 · 27/01/2022 09:06

I’m blocked from Kat, have been for a while, but I do remember a lengthy heated engagement with them some time back. Can anyone post a screenshot of the tweets?

WandaWomblesaurus73 · 27/01/2022 09:03

"The transphobes can fuck off, I do not agree with you. I believe trans people should be able to just have a GP appointment to get HRT, with no need for psychiatric assessments." Says Kat. Does this include young children Kat?

WandaWomblesaurus73 · 27/01/2022 08:58

LilithOfEden · 26/01/2022 21:53

I don't care one bit about this person's woes. They helped make the bed they are lying in through their pursuit of a dangerous ideology, and complicity in the damage done to children, women, medicine and wider society by TRAs.

Clymene · 26/01/2022 21:46

Weirdly I'm not blocked which is a surprise because I'm blocked by a lot of people I've never interacted with.

I don't feel that sorry for Bristow. Bristow doesn't give a toss about women. Also has apparently just discovered they're autistic and instantly got Ritalin too (yes I know Ritalin isn't prescribed for autism).

Webberley is only in it for the £££. Bristow clearly has issues.

I don't have much more to say on the matter except to save your sympathy for someone who deserves it rather than an MRA like Bristow.

GenderGP cares very little for the actual individual, they are simply a cash cow to them. I wonder if in a previous life H would have been at the top of a MLM outfit.

Helen Webberley was previously involved in something called 'shadow prescribing', where she would rewrite prescriptions for people in the US and obtain the drugs in the UK, taking advantage of the lower costs for some drugs which had been negotiated by the NHS. She was eventually thwarted in this venture when Maine (the US state her business was operating in) changed the law to prevent citizens from importing drugs from overseas.

Details here.

Lovelyricepudding · 26/01/2022 21:11

I agree it is really wrong to think that just because someone identifies as trans, they are qualified to support vulnerable young people in a medical setting - but that is how this ideology works.

This isn't limited gender ideology but the broader movement. It is the tyranny of 'lived experience' which makes them expert above all others (including those with the wrong kind of lived experience). Thus academics with years of experience and research in the field, and often even their own lived experience, are dismissed in favour of an individual. "Nothing about us without us me"

Lovelyricepudding · 26/01/2022 21:03

@OhPea

I would have thought Gender GP were falling foul of employment law by trying to avoid it?
GenderGP is based outside of the UK specifically to avoid UK laws.

timeisnotaline · 26/01/2022 20:45

@FOJN

I'm more surprised by what appears to be a genuine belief that Gender GP are motivated by altruism rather than profit,it seems incredibly naïve. They sound like dreadful employers.

I thought this was interesting.

One of the questions, which I'll quote in full was "Some of the requests in the letter appear to be asking for different terms and conditions for our trans team members. How does that sit, from your perspective, with the notion of equality with your cisgender colleagues?"

Written without irony?

This is an amazing quote really. Kat sounds very naive and clearly gender gp have been intentionally exploiting staff, which should be illegal really (possibly it is). I hope trans supporters realise this institution isn’t on anyone’s side but their own- it would never have occurred to me they were hiring minimum wage, I’d have expected professional qualified staff who believed fervently in the gender dogma, so I’m a bit shocked for all the vulnerable young people who have attended there.
donquixotedelamancha · 26/01/2022 20:12

So the doctors who made a fortune promoting puberty blockers and hormones to vulnerable kids (and got disciplined by the GMC for it) also treat their employees like shit and don't actually care about trans rights.

I'm shocked.

ErrolTheDragon · 26/01/2022 19:23

@Lovelyricepudding

That is why you have contractors instead - gives you a bit of distance and you can cut them loose without having to worry about redundancy, employment tribunals, sick pay etc.
Isn't it also liable to cause the employees problems with the tax authorities (IR35) - or is that only an issue if you're actually paying them decently?
AssignedBlobbyAtBirth · 26/01/2022 19:20

I have never tweeted a single tweet but am blocked from a fair few accounts for wrong like

ArabellaScott · 26/01/2022 19:16

Provider of questionable lifestyle choices to vulnerable consumers is not a tip top moral employer?

Colour me shocked.

2Rebecca · 26/01/2022 19:12

Kat's twitter bio is just a long list of ailments. Kat also says Kat is black which doesn't fit with the photo
