Inquiry into massive increase in girls seeking gender reassignment.

Hi all,

I'm sure some of you are aware that a few years ago the Gender Equalities Office was tasked with investigating the steep rise in girls being referred for gender reassignment (over 4,500% in about a decade), does anyone know anything about what became of that inquiry?

I'm researching gender dysphoria in girls and I'd love to know if the govt have got anywhere with it. I've emailed the GEO and Penny Mordaunt (who ordered the inquiry) but haven't heard anything back.

If you know anything, please can you share!?

So true. I guess kids often followed the crowd as it felt safer to be in that place. Who knew that the crowd would become so dangerous.

I agree that the LGB is at risk, due to the tactics of gender ideology and transactivism. Trans the gay out really is a thing. Trans kids are generally pretty safe as well, until the doctors, teacher and tra's gets hold of them that is. Then they are on the pathway of serious life long damage to their bodies. Which is appalling.

From the Times article linked by PP, the underlying numbers behind the percentage rise.

@DisgustedofManchester what statistics are you using for the claim that the number of children identifying as LGB, Q or A has also risen sharply?

(Assuming that Q is "queer" and "A" is "asexual"?)

Unfortunately 4,500% is about 4x(?) more percentage points than actual people. It actually equates to around 50% increas per year starting at very low numbers. Makes for good Times headlines. BTW numbers of young people identifying as LGBQA have also risen sharply... Maybe its becuase they mistakenly thought it was safer to do.

The GEO stalled and stalled on this - saying they'd put out a tender for research, and then never doing so. Eventually this was added to the remit of the independent Cass Review:

"Exploration of the reasons for the increase in referrals and why the increase has disproportionately been of natal females, and the implications of these matters"

My guess is that the trans lobbyists located in the civil service, NHS and government have done their best to prevaricate and delay. The data about this will blow the ideology out of the water when the impact of social contagion is identified and these adults are desperate to involve as many children as possible before they're found out.
