It's amazing how much the New Testament is not full of discussion over the issues of pronouns and identity and who gets to go to the wells with the women, or use the red tent. It's kind of busy with a lot of other things, such as being a small group of rebels in an occupied country, and being a rabbi going rogue from the central religion. Lots of political belief being taught, but not much of it taken up with micro aggression, literal violence (too much real violence going on for a start), and transition. Quite apart from which, Jesus refers to himself multiply as man, son, etc so do the disciples who as his closest mates I would rely on to know preferred pronouns and chosen identity. So I'm fairly confident I have not misgendered.
Unless anyone's got a time machine, and can pop back and explain genderism to him in detail, through the 21st century lens, and expect someone in the 1st century to think these beliefs trump all their beliefs and problems, and will be relevant in the first century, and see what he says (he'll certainly be very kind about it), I think we probably have to accept that this is a bit of a crowbarred, three am thought.
