Stumbled accross this on twitter. Matt Walsh, an American political commentator is on a chat show and confronts transactivist to define a woman and tells him that he is appropriating womanhood.

Then after being told that he has 'traumatised' the activists... He provides this response!!

Wow. He says sh*t straight.... Haha!

I've found your posts enlightening tbh

Same. It’s clear you’re struggling here with thought processes. Even in your last post you’re determined to make it out like anyone agreeing with Walsh thinks he’s “great” on all things and wants all of his ideas to be advanced. You’ve veered from confusing counter arguments to disingenuous posts and now you’re deliberately twisting what people say and mean.

Very enlightening.

nolongersurprised · 23/01/2022 04:13

You wrote it!

No Cheese, that was my post.

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 04:13

Oh sorry my mistake.

Similar posting styles.

Why guess what another poster meant?

Good answer though :)

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 04:12

'However, others are able to do that. Screeds of text berating his beliefs on other topics aren’t going to change our mind with how he approaches this issue.'

'I imagine the “our” in this quote refers to all the people who agree with what Walsh has said in this particular instance with this issue.'

Why are you imagining what it meant?

You wrote it!

nolongersurprised · 23/01/2022 04:11

Means there is an our and you don't want to say. This is getting even more interesting!

The collective posters on this thread, Cheese. Have a read back, nearly everyone agrees he was effective. Not all, obviously Grin especially the ones (you) who refuses to watch the clips about Loudoun County but comments extensively anyway

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 04:08

Problematic Grin

Forgetting to take the bins out can be problematic.

Girls pregnant through rape being forced to carry to term give birth impact whole life.

Girls women dying because life saving treatment refused.

Problematic. I think something a little stronger in order, tbh.

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 04:06

'You have assumed IGNORE - I have not ignored what I find problematic with MW, I just haven’t shared them on a thread that is not asking me that.'

Indeed you are not.

You are fully aware of his views, including on abortion.

You didn't seem at all surprised by that tweet I posted.

No definitely not ignoring.

Just don't feel it's of any relevance that his post (and sure could find more in that vein) clearly demonstrates that he couldn't give a toss about girls, rape, incest, pregnancy as a result of incest.

And of course that his vv clearly stated opinion means that he would definitely see a girl pregnant through rape at school, dead. Than receive a life saving abortion.

No no I totally understand.

And I'm not concerned about your posts or this fella having such an impact as to change laws here. I know you think he's great. But he's really pretty crap. No I think we'll be fine.

Post what you want.

I've found your posts enlightening tbh.

NotBadConsidering · 23/01/2022 04:05

@CheeseMmmm

I think he's 'bad' Grin I'm not 10 lol. I have much better words than that!

'Screeds of text berating his beliefs on other topics aren’t going to change our mind with how he approaches this issue.'

Who do you mean by 'our'. Change OUR mind'. Who do you mean?

I imagine the “our” in this quote refers to all the people who agree with what Walsh has said in this particular instance with this issue. I won’t stop agreeing with what he said on Dr Phil simply because you think I should factor in his views on other things lest I descend into right wing fundamentalism, and I imagine those others who also agree with him feel the same way. Hence “our views”.
CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 04:00

@nolongersurprised

Who is 'OUR'??

The whole of the fundamentalist Christian Right-wing, Cheese. The ones who are paying me to infiltrate this thread with positive Matt Walsh posts.

Note to sponsors: I need new school uniform items, more than I though. Please deposit funds ASAP

Not an answer.

Who is 'our'.

Fact you've tried to evade rather than saying. Oh weird no idea why I wrote that.

Means there is an our and you don't want to say. This is getting even more interesting!

ItsLateHumpty · 23/01/2022 03:55

IGNORE.
Not agree with.
IGNORE.

Are you suggesting that in order to start a thread one has to give a full bio of the person about whom they’re writing? Or at least a link to wiki about them?

And the OP and all following discussion must start with denouncing all the impure or bad or problematic views before they can comment on the actual point of the thread?

You have assumed IGNORE - I have not ignored what I find problematic with MW, I just haven’t shared them on a thread that is not asking me that.

nolongersurprised · 23/01/2022 03:54

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:49

Who is 'OUR'??

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:49

And that is a TRUTH that you won't even begin to listen to.

NotBadConsidering · 23/01/2022 03:47

Why are you so keen on him? He's obviously incredibly divisive. Views that over here are seen as vv extreme. You've consistently sung his praises and said anyone who isn't interested in his views on trans is various things meant to cause a denial reaction. Why not someone who isn't like that. Esp for UK even if USA those views more mainstream?

This has also been explained multiple times. I am not “keen” on him. I think he is right, on this specific occasion, in this particular instance. I have not said you are having a “denial reaction”, not a single person has used those words Hmm, I have asked why you have repeatedly failed to answer the simple question of whether he is right, in this specific occasion.

It has also been explained multiple times how influential he is, how influential Dr Phil is, how many viewers his show has, and hence the importance of the issues like the Loudoun rape cases being raised in a mainstream environment. That you have no knowledge of popular culture and prominent people is entirely down to your lack of knowledge. We don’t need to post links about people who only Cheese has heard of do we?

So in summary, according to you, we should only post threads and opinions on topics that can’t be screenshot, can’t be misused otherwise we are harming trans people, and only about people you’ve heard of and of whom you morally approve?

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:47

Noooo it's not.

It's about a man you have been saying you vvv think brilliant on trans topic.

The fact he clearly doesn't give a shit about girls when it comes to abortion. Even ones being sexually abused by their dads.

Is very relevant when flagging him as a leading light in women's rights, risk to us, risk of rape. When it comes to topic of thread.

The fact that IF one Loudoun victim pregnant and needed life saving termination. He would have her die.
Is very relevant when comes to topic of thread.

nolongersurprised · 23/01/2022 03:42

Cheese this isn’t a threat about MW’s abortion views. It’s a thread about his recent appearance on Dr Phil. You are wanting this thread to segue into another topic and are getting pissed off that people don’t want to.

Why don’t you start a thread about MW and is abortion views?

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:42

I think he's 'bad' Grin
I'm not 10 lol. I have much better words than that!

'Screeds of text berating his beliefs on other topics aren’t going to change our mind with how he approaches this issue.'

Who do you mean by 'our'. Change OUR mind'. Who do you mean?

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:39

'cheese you’ve made it clear that you can’t understand how people can support MW in his trans views and not support him in his abortion views.'

IGNORE.
Not agree with.
IGNORE.

Different. Fyi you've been doing this all through thread. Didn't say anything as assumed just to do with being v passionate about thread and posts.

Just FYI it's quite a lot now so keep an eye out for that please.

NotBadConsidering · 23/01/2022 03:38

I'll be honest here. I cannot understand how you can reconcile your vvv high opinion of MW on trans things.

Yes, you have made it very clear you do not understand, nor have the ability to comprehend the far from radical notion that people can agree on one thing but not another. I really can’t help you there.

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:37

Other question.

Given there are stacks of (better) vids articles etc on sex> gender, risk etc.

Why are you so keen on him? He's obviously incredibly divisive. Views that over here are seen as vv extreme.

You've consistently sung his praises and said anyone who isn't interested in his views on trans is various things meant to cause a denial reaction.

Why not someone who isn't like that.
Esp for UK even if USA those views more mainstream.
?

nolongersurprised · 23/01/2022 03:34

cheese you’ve made it clear that you can’t understand how people can support MW in his trans views and not support him in his abortion views.

However, others are able to do that. Screeds of text berating his beliefs on other topics aren’t going to change our mind with how he approaches this issue.

I know you think he’s bad and not a good advocate for this important topic, but while you wait for the perfect person to come along trans ideology continues to harm women and girls.

Why don’t you start a thread discussing his daily abhorrent views on abortion? Few would disagree with you there

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:32

Couple questions. I assume you'll refuse to answer on basis I said this or not that.

Anyway.

  • Given that vile tweet. And I'm sure if look will find plenty more to see how far his views go and I'm guessing v far.

Please can you explain your view of him as someone who really cares about women and girls? About risk to them, sexual violence towards them.
What's the thought process you step through. To believe he's a champion for women's rights. Given his track record of misogynistic comments. Or even. Just how you reconcile that tweet about CSA with your perception of him as, you alluded to him being feminist in his thinking earlier I'm sure.

ItsLateHumpty · 23/01/2022 03:27

@CheeseMmmm

'The “it” is people taking words and agreement from supporters of women’s rights and twisting them to make out we are far right fundamentalists and using that to target vulnerable trans people with fear. I explained that. I am not responsible for this, '

You've been posting for what most of thread.

Essentially saying if you won't watch, won't put in writing, won't accept that this fella vv fab on this. Then you're stuff like. Can't remember. Purity spirals came up. Closed minded? I seem to remember something about waiting for a left wing saviour. A lot of insisting it's brilliant must watch.

So I watched as per badgering. Thoughts repeated end of thread.

* You don't think that a thread.
That will have been the first time some/ many posters heard of him.
Pressing how great he is persuasive.
Excellent to follow on this.
Vv impactful.
Good for changing views on topic.
He's done amazing things.
Really cares.
His thought process remarkably in accord with feminists!

Etc etc.

You don't see that as even slightly relevant when it comes to farming for screenshots?

'supporters of women’s rights and twisting them to make out we are far right fundamentalists '

He IS a far right fundamentalist!
He is NOT a supporter of women's rights!

No twisting required plenty posts. Including ones you've written throughout Insisting that he's totally brilliant on trans things!
----

My thoughts on the OP clip.

(And no I'm not sodding watching the other clips you've posted and are now saying if I don't watch THEM I'm proving myself to be... All the things you've said through thread.)

  • Why this flagged on a site as everyone look here's brilliant bloke! (No mention of who he is which would have been handy in OP).
  • Who is he? Who is Dr Phil? Why would this be more impactful UK people than things with people well known here? Politicians, grilling on politics progs etc.

-Plus he's vv poor. Nothing new. Lost control of conversation pretty much immediately. Missed obvious opportunities to get those talking to in a pickle.

  • Insisting that he's so good that lefties will be enlightened. When they say, who is he etc. And you say anti abortion anti homosexuality. Misogynist etc.
That won't make any difference to them. Because he's that good. If they do. Hopeless clueless etc.
None of this is relevant to this thread / the OP.

Young girl gets raped.

TRAs - Nothing to see here.
Media - Nothing to report here.

Dad of young girl loses his shit.

TRAs - Ooo look a bigot.
Media - Transphobia is rampant and very dangerous.

MW - Wtf. That’s not the story. The story is a young girl got raped and it’s because of TRA being A for Activist for self ID.

MN - Thank fuck for MW talking about this well and to a huge audience who until now believed what they’d read was all there was too it and it was all ok because it was consensual sex anyway and the dad is a massive bigot.

TL:DR thanks for all the blinding sunshine, I don’t care who opened the curtains.

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:25

'You knew that he was against rape'

Should say abortion not rape. Sorry about that.

CheeseMmmm · 23/01/2022 03:23

Sorry need to catch up s bit. This caught my attention though.

Me: 'I'm assuming you already knew his views though, you've said you know what about fair few times.
You: Correct, I already knew this, which is why I’m not interested in discussing it in a thread that isn’t about that.'

**You knew that he was against rape in any circs. And I assume aware of his Twitter comments like the one above. Which shows a staggering absence of any empathy at all for girls who are 12 and being sexually abused at home by their father. And on top of that, become pregnant from the rape. You don't see girls being raped as to do with this thread? You've brought it up multiple times.

'... Precisely. Walsh’s views on abortion have no influence on my own views and no influence on my views on what he said about gender ideology and the Loudoun rape cases on Dr Phil.'

I'll be honest here. I cannot understand how you can reconcile your vvv high opinion of MW on trans things.
While knowing that he is against rape in any circs.
Meaning obviously that if one girl Loudoun was pregnant as result of the sexual violence.
That the man you have been cheerleading all through thread.
Vv strongly believes she should carry birth baby. Be exposed to risks of MH problems, risk of long term physical injury. Have to make fundamental decisions that whatever do will impact whole life. Her friend school will know won't they. Who the dad. Etc etc.

**
And of course in case of life threatening situation need termination. He would have her die*
