Our two great institutions, the BBC and the NHS, combine for the above video clip and twitter discussion

I guess we have to be grateful for the absence of another annoying tv doctor, who has gone somewhat quiet on twitter since being successfully sued by Arlene Foster. Not to mention the struck off one.

[quote littlbrowndog]He should read this and see the damage he does by calling pregnant women pregnant people

It is only a few weeks ago where he refused to say women.

Utter shameful tosser.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/01/2022 21:41

That pompous, patronising reply above Confused "the biology of sex is so much more complicated than people imagine" sounds like that stupid "science teacher" clownfish Facebook post that people cite as an example of great wisdom.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/01/2022 21:40

Pahahaha what an absolute bellend he’s made of himself

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/01/2022 21:39

He's made himself look completely ridiculous.

UltraVividLament · 13/01/2022 21:34

What an arrogant tool. The tired old "but DSDs..." argument for why there are more than two sexes. Dropped in as if no one else had ever thought of it before.

Porfre · 13/01/2022 21:32

By pandering to the few he may as well have not appeared for all the good he did.

Truly in 10 years time when our kids have grown up with this, how are they going to know if they have a prostate or not?

Porfre · 13/01/2022 21:29

What an absolute pillock

I am refined Devon lady on Twitter - and very proud to say I started this with him on Twitter. I don’t watch the programme, but was on the phone and it came on after the news. I thought I hadn’t heard it correctly - but indeed he didn’t mention men or male once. I do have a few of his deleted tweets if anyone wants them. Another actually messaged him directly, and got the biggest load of drivel back. Will try and find it and post here.

weasle · 13/01/2022 21:17

Urgh how disappointing.
I was certain one of them retweeted or liked something regarding biological sex a while ago. I can't find it now. They tweet a huge amount and I can't wade through them all.

PaleGreenGhost · 13/01/2022 21:10

Even the ugly, inaccurate and unnecessary "asigned male at birth" would be better.

Has this awful phrase fallen out of fashion? I suppose the huuge problem with it (for gender ideologists) is that it can be used to mean "man" without too much obfuscation.

Goatsaregreat · 13/01/2022 21:04

At least he uses the word man in his non apology. I'm all for equal treatment with this nonsense.

They didn't used to be idiots. It's a real loss to the majority with common sense.

Snoozer11 · 13/01/2022 20:57

Television doctors are always idiots.

Enough4me · 13/01/2022 20:51

I've watched them for years with my DCs. They definitely knew the words women and man before, it's sad to see 're-education' at work.

I'd love it if they reflected and said, enough bollocks, men have prostates.

DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 13/01/2022 20:49

Boots people with one leg can get a dvt too you know. You're a hater of the one legged. Shame on you. Grin

BootsAndRoots · 13/01/2022 20:42

Doctors don't say "people with two legs" when talking about DVT, or people with 10 toes.

nauticant · 13/01/2022 20:27

Yes, he's deleted his idiotic tweets, some are archived at: [I put in a link to an archive site where they can be found but as you can see above my post was blocked]

He left this excuse tweet in their place: twitter.com/xandvt/status/1481564820268888068

The clip is here, along with some screenshots of Dr Xand's tweets in the comments.

I'm so disappointed!

DisappearingGirl · 13/01/2022 19:59

Noooo, I love Chris and Xand! I like Dr Ronx too. I think they all have a lovely manner on Operation Ouch and a real knack of explaining medical things to kids. And they make me laugh.

Of course I know who has a prostate. But I'd love to ask him how I can explain to my kids who has a prostate, and how we know that they don't have one. He must understand this problem, having spent so much time explaining stuff to kids!!
