www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10382291/Did-Hertfordshire-Police-force-break-uniform-code-transgender-trailblazer.html

One rule for women and another for transgender women.

Having long green nails and heavy makeup, breaches Hertfordshire Police Forces uniform policy, unless of course you're trans! Then you can do what you like to "feel like a woman".

@VestofAbsurdity

The saddest part lovelyweathertoday is that the poster refusing to provide the evidence they claim to have seen with their own eyes and is easy to find is labouring under the belief that we aren't fully aware as to why they won't show the evidence.

I thought it was just a way of wasting our time.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 09/01/2022 19:42

@NoNotMeNoSiree

Because someone making fun of a mixed-race woman for her skin colour is very memorable Yes, it is but only if it's a post you've seen in the first place! You'd be fibbing if you said that you saw every single comment on long threads. Some get missed
I always stay on FWR threads that I've posted on. I aim to read every single post that comes after mine. I think I would have to be ill with the flu to miss so many posts discussing a new development, especially when I had been tagged on that page.

But you seem to fail to see people addressing you with alarming frequency. BernardBlackMissesLangCleg has asked you the same question a few times now and you don't seem to be able to see her.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:42

For clarity: The first picture I linked to above is the first tweet on Herts Police's twitter showing a woman.

I am happy to work through the tweets until we get to the one that you were referring to, NoNotMeNoSiree. If that's helpful for you.

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:37

@NoNotMeNoSiree

No, yet again, that was NOT the tweet. How many times?!
You have an easy way to clarify this and that is to identify the tweet and picture you referred to.

Alternatively, we can all draw our own conclusions.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:34

I mean, if you could link to the tweet it would save us all a lot of time, NoMe.

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 09/01/2022 19:33

@NoNotMeNoSiree

No, yet again, that was NOT the tweet. How many times?!
hey @NoNotMeNoSiree!

do you think red or green are neutral nail colours?

??

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:33

Okay. So was it this one?

Why am I not surprised?
NecessaryScene · 09/01/2022 19:33

I'd heard about this thread, and didn't think it could live up to the hype.

How wrong I was.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:31

No, yet again, that was NOT the tweet.
How many times?!

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:30

lovelyweathertoday · 09/01/2022 19:27

I'm quite taken by claiming there are photos of women also breaking the rules then refusing to show evidence when none of us can find it. It's a useless technique for those of us who want sensible discussion.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:23

Just 'yes' or 'no' would do, and hopefully clear up the confusion. Many thanks.

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2022 19:23

Hi NoNotMeNotSiree. You don't seem to be able to C+P the tweet.

So can I ask: Is this the Tweet you were talking about where you said:

'The first one I saw was someone looking like they're heavily tanned and like the fake tan bottle a lot or foundation.'?

Why am I not surprised?
Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 19:21

@NoNotMeNoSiree

And again - really would never. Pretty Envy not envy that that's where people immediately think that's what I was referring to.
You are reluctant to acknowledge that this is actually an accurate interpretation of your posts.

Perhaps rather than doubling down, you could acknowledge that it was a very problematic ‘gotcha’ attempt

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 19:20

I think you might need to address your prejudiced view on this mn board Siree, because it is very much impinging on your ability to conduct a worthwhile and articulate discussion.

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 19:18

What has that got to do with the thread?!
It's about make up being applied and whether it's fair for trans women to be allowed to wear a bright shade of lipstick or whatever whereas other women apparently aren't allowed as bright a colour.

Right.

It seems you DO understand the inequality we are describing. Despite your continued obstinance in acknowledging that is what we are discussing.

Despite your continued twisting on this thread to make it all about hatred of trans people.

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 09/01/2022 19:18

@NoNotMeNoSiree

I'm all ears Grin No, you're not. You make that perfectly clear when you manage to try and make the thread about male rapists and prisons when it's about a trans woman and make up.
hey, hey @NoNotMeNoSiree

do you think red or green are neutral nail colours?

VestofAbsurdity · 09/01/2022 19:16

This thread has been an education in just how far a TWAW ally will go to defend their favoured caste.

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:16

I'm all ears

Sophoclesthefox · 09/01/2022 19:16

perhaps some sort of interpretive dance would help you?

There would be a lot of wriggling and twisting in it 😬

Anyway, back to the issue at hand: do the rules apply to everyone equally or not?

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 09/01/2022 19:13

@NoNotMeNoSiree

and you sure as hell don't have to imagine what it might be like as a woman prisoner locked up in a cell with a male rapist eh? What has that got to do with the thread?! It's about make up being applied and whether it's fair for trans women to be allowed to wear a bright shade of lipstick or whatever whereas other women apparently aren't allowed as bright a colour. How do prisons come into it? Unless you mean be wary of all trans women because, trans?
Hey! you can see me @NoNotMeNoSiree!

do you think red or green are neutral nail colours?

??

I'm all ears

NoNotMeNoSiree · 09/01/2022 19:13

Is the penny finally dropping? You've finally realised what the discussion is about? Not just lipstick but nails and all make-up. Now, perhaps you could tell us why you believe transwomen should not adhere to the same rules as women?

Helleofabore · 09/01/2022 19:12

And around we go, again.

This is about the unequal application of a professional dress code for that particular police force. Allowing a male to wear heavier make up and non-nuetral colours when a female can not wear the same.

Again, please post links to those female police officers that are wearing non-neutral colours.

And the link purgatory posted is anchored to the post about jane Fae making the same judgement call on a woman’s skin colour. Although Fae is slightly more mocking in their judgement.

GCITC · 09/01/2022 19:11

NoNotMe seems to believe both that TW are women and should be treated exactly like women, and that TW require special treatment above that which is given to women.

Cognitive dissonance 101.
