Worth a watch. How much do men hate women who say 'no'. When speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.

@RepentMotherfucker

What seemed strangest to me is being 'staggered' by the perfectly normal, factual view that people can't change sex. He must remember a time when nobody at all thought that men could really become with it. It might be understandable for a young teen in a 'woke' social bubble to be surprised that not everyone agrees with trans ideology, but a man his age? I wonder how much of it was performative.

Yes. It was very 'old man struggles to appear relevant' wasn't it?

I do wonder with these people when they are so happy to spout shit like this what else they say that they don't believe. I mean do they really deep down harbour racist/homophobic views but know the 'right things' to say?

It does seem to me that the reason this has traction despite being obvious bullshit is that for many people it must just be something else they need to pay lip service to.

I'm sorry to say that I suspect some of these people are genuine.

I was struck at a recent right-think training event at my workplace how some of the other employees were just blown away by the material. They thought it was amazing, enlightening, they'd never thought about these things. They assumed the trainer had some kind of real higher knowledge to offer.

I can tell you, none of it was at that level, mostly it was pretty trite.

But while it's possible some were being performative, I am sure that wasn't the case for all of them. For some, it was new, it was something that was a whole new system they could adopt. And whatever old ideas they had, they just didn't come into it much, yk?

I figure maybe these are the same people who are always picking up new self-help books.

SantaClawsServiette · 30/12/2021 02:18

@MrsMadderRose

But people are being told this as if it's a medical fact, via stonewall "training" of so many organisations, it's coming from school, the police, even as he said some doctors.

I'm not defending him, but I think we need to understand that thinking this way is very common because people are being told to think this way. That is exactly why parents are willingly encouraging their kids to be subjected to such appalling harms. Because they think this is true and so that's what they need.

Yes, I think this is really important to understand.

For those of us that have been following this seriously, he sounds really behind the eight-ball, but what he is saying is where a lot of people still are.

I was so shocked last year having a conversation with a university friend I'd not seen in years, someone smart and who I considered no-nonsense, and who also had been exposed to the kind of education that typically gives one pause in terms of accepting new social trends without question. But she just totally had accepted the whole thing at face value.

HandsOffMyRights · 30/12/2021 02:15

Brava Kellie Jay.

I've watched so many of her interviews (favourite being the one with 'Mr' Harrop) and I admire how she keeps her cool and on point.

The host really believes he had some 'gotcha' moments, when he just comes out of it badly. His questions were predictible and the usual tripe.
He was so desperate that he talks about KJ being cancelled and grapples for any foothold. She just bats it back calmly and concisely.

This article explains a bit about Sheila Jeffrey's views:

And Posie didn’t say being gay is exclusively a choice, she said you’re either born gay or some people like Sheila Jeffries, who she mentioned by name, feel you can choose. She was the opposite of being homophobic, because she respects the opinions of those like Jeffries.

TinyRebel · 30/12/2021 00:01

@Snoozer11

I have trouble with the "choosing to be gay" part of the interview.

I understand it's only a small part, but PP has often struck me as being slightly homophobic and this doesn't help.

Being gay isn't a choice, and it is obscenely homophobic to suggest it is. I think a lot of sensible people will have been turned off when she mentioned that. Doesn't help with the "bigot" accusations.

Of course, the interviewer seemed like a total twat and she rightly wiped the floor with him in all other respects.

You ought to listen to Sheila Jeffreys (a lesbian) on this. I thought it was a bit of a strange thing to say until I listened to lesbian feminists explain it.

Have noticed people adding their review of the discussion, primarily of James Max to talkradio's trustpilot grin uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.talkradio.co.uk

DoubleTweenQueen · 29/12/2021 23:44

@RepentMotherfucker Life-affirming image :D

PamDenick · 29/12/2021 23:34

Or, god forbid, imagine if his wife/sister/female family member had suffered the trauma/crime/ horror of being taped (again, I’ve no idea of his personal circumstances…
The rapist in the stand FEELS like a woman and the judge and court must address him as a female. How would that female relative deal with having to address her rapist as ‘she’? She raped me with her penis…
(Check out the elf Claire in Kent news if you don’t believe me…)

NotBadConsidering · 29/12/2021 23:31

Haven’t RTFT, but to me, his approach was completely thrown off by the fact that normally, radio interview guests obfuscate a bit, hedge their bets, give a little in their beliefs to appease their interviewer, and often make the interviewer seem knowledgeable by default. Posie did none of this. She knew her stuff, more than him, and didn’t budge to make him feel better. His arrogance of thinking he would just know what to say shone through.

PamDenick · 29/12/2021 23:28

Or his daughter (again, no idea if he has one…

Imagine you’ve been arrested after the peaceful protest you were in hit out of hand (you know, the one about free speech)…

Would you feel it is appropriate to share a cell with Karen White? Or would KJM be more acceptable?

PamDenick · 29/12/2021 23:26

Cosmetic breasts - typo

Whatthechicken · 29/12/2021 23:25

Oh a few more of these interviews and the fight is over for us women!! So much sunlight!! Maybe he’s a double agent? He’s so uninformed he doesn’t know what he’s shouting for (apart from personal glory), but I think he’s doing quite a bit of heavy lifting for us right now. Go on James, take on the women!! Seriously, you don’t stand a chance, but go on fella!!

PamDenick · 29/12/2021 23:25

You know who he should have on: his mother.

Mum, when you are changing for Zumba/aquareobics/bowls, do you mind disrobing in mixed company where a fully intact (but oh so lovely and elegant) male bodied person with great lipstick and cosmetic breaststroke or would you rather change in a single sex changing room?

(No disrespect to his mother who may or may not have already passed on - just for the example)

PegasusReturns · 29/12/2021 23:22

Radio is such a fabulous medium for the TRAs

RepentMotherfucker · 29/12/2021 23:18

Oooh yes. I long for another Butter-gasp moment.

ArabellaScott · 29/12/2021 23:14

I hope Talk Radio have him on LOTS. He could interview Julia Hartley-Brewer. And Benjamin Butter. And Shon Faye. And Owen Jones! I can write a list if that helps. Grin

RepentMotherfucker · 29/12/2021 23:12

@DoubleTweenQueen

KJ is just awesome. She holds her message with such dignity. New fan :)
I know. I love her.

I wish I had known how much I would come to love her calm steely refusal to take any shit when I met her several years ago and then I could have prostrated myself at her feet shouting, 'Posie! Posie! YOU'RE THE REAL FUCKING DEAL POSIE!' at her and remembered that moment at times like these.

Total missed opportunity 🤔

Helleofabore · 29/12/2021 23:05

Willoughby?

Yes!! The man, James Max, really is trying to build his personal brand. But he is going to show just how extreme the ideology actually is tomorrow.

He is certainly not doing any TRAs any favours.

MiladyBerserko · 29/12/2021 23:04

India Willoughby, famous for shouting 'I am a real woman, let that penetrate' at some bewildered women, who claims to have a cervix.

Excellent.

I know. There's not enough popcorn in the world.

Kellie-Jay has just said he's got India Willoughby on tomorrow.

James Max is sending out multiple self-satisfied-sounding tweets. It now looks like it's all a bit of a publicity stunt to boost his rating. At first I thought he was just extremely stupid; now I think he's plain nasty and glorying in his two minutes of social media fame.
