Also there is the small matter that the name is trademarked be Warner brothers.

But who knew? I certainly had no idea there were to US Quidditch leagues running around with broomsticks between there legs!

I can’t believe there are actual leagues 🙈🙈

Thanks @Moolia. I feel more educated now.

@VerveClique

How dare you say they can’t fly!! Literal violence.
Of course they can fly. But the definition of "flying" now includes anyone who feels like they are flying when they're running.
Moolia · 19/12/2021 07:20

Wondering how close this is to hate speech? Villifying someone for their protected belief.

“Our game is called Quizzitch. They’ve got the Golden Snitch, ours is the Golden Snatch. They’ve got the Quaffle, we’ve got the Quiffle. We’ve both got three Chasers, two Beaters, the Keeper and the Seeker, but their broomsticks are the other way round”

Can hardly wait for comments but meanwhile here's tweet of the day on the topic.

"If you want to distance yourself from the work of J K Rowling, have you considered growing the fuck up and getting a new hobby that doesn’t involve running round a field with a broomstick between your legs pretending you can fly, just a thought."
