“The women were at the bottom of the run-up holding up 'Save Women’s Sports' banners and they were targeting the women who are known transgender athletes. They were getting really loud and agro when these athletes were [racing] by, and they were on a part of the course where riders would pass by a few times, because it was a section of the course that looped back on itself. They had signs and they were putting them in [the athletes’] faces and shouting. There was also a group standing at a more distant part of the course with a large flag that they were waving onto the course, in addition to signage, and they were actively trying to disrupt and target individuals that were racing,” Cameron

I am really frustrated at the 'anti trans' label. The motivation is fairness for women and girls, not anti trans. Women and girls are as important as men and boys. There are 2 sexes, biological reality. Do what you like in your personal life but if you have a male body you should not be in female only sports. I really don't get why people don't see that.

Just Goggled Molly Cameron, cyclist, and she could never be mistaken for a man! (sarcasm). I despair for all the young aspiring female athletes :(

‘went over to stand next to them to prevent an incident’. I responded to say that ‘this is the incident, are you asking them to leave?’ and I got no response,”

Women holding banners is an incident.

Why shouldn't women protest male persons in women's sport. It is unfair and cheating, it also makes it a mixed sex event

“Women known to be transgender athletes”? So, transmen?

Otherwise the ‘transgender athletes’ must be men, which would be unfair in women's sport.

Good for the protesters.

Sports bodies should get used to it if they insist on letting mediocre men cheat by competing against women.
