Who the fuck is Ramboo?

I mean I’m sure he’s great but doesn’t seem like the sort of person actual gruniard readers will have heard of!

IGoWalkingAfterMidnight · 17/12/2021 11:39

And I've voted JKR too

tootiredtobother · 17/12/2021 11:34

done

crazyjinglist · 17/12/2021 11:13

If JKR doesn't win, whoever The Guardian places on the front cover photo is going to know it was rigged in their favour.

Not necessarily. MN is far from being the only online community capable of mobilising to vote for a particular person!

secular111 · 17/12/2021 11:01

Oh this is awkward.

If JKR doesn't win, whoever The Guardian places on the front cover photo is going to know it was rigged in their favour.

I wonder if they'll just quietly drop the whole 'Person of the Year 2021' altogether?

Dinosaurwoman · 17/12/2021 10:53

Done

teawamutu · 17/12/2021 10:40

Voted. Also said I knew they wouldn't add her, but if they had any integrity or courage left they would have.

IamSarah · 17/12/2021 09:43

Done ✅ I doubt they will choose her but we can hope.

Carriemac · 17/12/2021 09:30

I think Thingybob is right, it's not a Vote, is it? It's a nomination. From which the Guardian can pick someone that they deem suitable.

AsTreesWalking · 17/12/2021 07:15

Done.
I was intrigued by the 'vote Ranboo, he's given loads of money to charity' messages and looked him up.
JKR has, and is, donating money she has earned through her own original work.
Ranboo? Uses his popularity to get other people to donate their money.
OK, raising money for charity is a good thing - but it's not quite the same level of philanthropy is it?

rabbitwoman · 17/12/2021 06:56

Didn't all the profits from The Ickabog go to the NHS?

Isn't that deserving enough?

Thingybob · 17/12/2021 01:38

Lots of people have mentioned the word 'vote' on this thread but is it a vote?

To me it seems to be about nominating someone then The Guardian picking a suitable person from these nominations to name them Person of the Year.

Having said that I did nominate JKR

Campervan69 · 17/12/2021 00:58

What is hilarious is that all the Americans are now online and are voting for some 18 year old streamer. Looks like a coordinated attempt to update someone. He must have millions of children watching him who they think will vote for him. Guaranteed no-one over 18 has ever heard of him. Also interesting that they couldn't come up with a transgender option that they could all vote for.

Done. They can have my details and they can print my comments. My "beliefs" are no secret in real life.

Abhannmor · 16/12/2021 23:11

I never got a confirmation message mind you.The form just disappeared. Hmm.

Abhannmor · 16/12/2021 23:09

Voted for JKR.

notaclownfish · 16/12/2021 21:58

Voted! Thought fuck it, I'll give my email address. I said that she was standing up for women by simply speaking the truth, and I stand by that.

Bellendejour · 16/12/2021 21:46

Done!

SweetGrapes · 16/12/2021 21:26

MummBRaaarrrTheEverLeaking · 16/12/2021 21:16

LilithRises · 16/12/2021 20:57

done !

dropthevipers · 16/12/2021 20:43

Not bothering myself as I just don't trust The Graun these days.Would be amazed if they didn't fix it for Judith Butler to win.

TofuDelights · 16/12/2021 20:15

Done! Hoping the email address I used was 'interesting' enough not to exist!!

I also ❤️ JKR!

ErrolTheDragon · 16/12/2021 19:45

The phone number was optional anyway.
