That was my first thought too but I'm reserving judgement on whether it was something different. If the Intersex Truther posting here is the person who has a YouTube channel by the same name then it's worth noting that they have two videos up, both of which are take downs of GC women despite the fact that it is TRA's who have used, "what about intersex' as an argument for years. Presumably there is content in the pipeline challenging the TRA narrative.

I agree with ClaireCAIS, targeting a woman who was trying to be a voice for other women with CAIS is reprehensible. DSD's and self ID are not related issues.

I didn't agree with exulansic appearing (I haven't seen the whole video hence "appearing") to appeal to her subscribers to dog pile BB. These are TRA tactics and we've always complained about the "both sides" arguement so we need to make sure we don't stoop to their level.

I hope the woman comes back online, I agree, it's important to hear voices.

That's interesting, @motorina. I'm not a psychologist and I'm VERY careful with my scope of practice so this isn't a diagnosis - but I would be interested in what someone who specialises in neurodiversity would make of her videos.

I think she's bright and an original thinker. I liked her droll style and her "FFS, I'm so OVER this" tone with, what I thought was, compassion for the people making clearly terrible choices in public.

When you've got a great approach on a tricky subject and people start subscribing and you start making money - well you've got to come up with content.

I wonder whether she started to look around pubmed to support her ideas and that, with a bit of time pressure and a large dose of hubris, lead to poorly thought out work.

I can see that the CAIS content could do great harm.

@ClareCAIS @IntersexTruther are there people you would recommend with evidence based information about DSDs?

You know, the ones not already banned everywhere..

@IntersexTruther wouldn’t it have been better to debate the subject with her rather than getting her channel taken down?
I thought she should have left the CAIS subject out of her topics because it really shouldn’t be dragged into the trans debate at all, because that’s what the TRAs do as some kind of gotcha.
I also thought the caricature wasn’t that bad at all & she overreacted to it.
Despite that the light she was shining on the SRS industry was very good & gaining her a lot of subscribers.

On page 1 I made exactly the same point about when she touched on my own speciality.

I think this is one of the flaws of her content. She's so bright and wellread she thinks she knows stuff (and sounds very convincing) but she lacks the clinical experience to contextualise it.

As an aside, it's worth noting that, in her latest - fairly confused - video, she names @IntersexTruther as one of the people responsible for getting her youtube closed. I wanted to point it out given that it is IntersexTruther who has shared why she considers Exulansic was banned. I'm entirely outside this, so have no idea where the truth lies, but I just wanted to flag up that IntersexTruther isn't an unbiased source.

I think she is very passionate but needs to be mindful of her scope of practice, check her references and do a bit of reflection on this.

@IntersexTruther - the whole paragraph on 'if you can't stand the heat' is aimed at Exulansic, not you! Given the content she's posting she really can't complain if the worst she gets back is an unflattering cartoon.

Actually I haven't gotten any heat. I've gotten thank you notices and donations from the family of the person who she defamed. My only problem with her is her personal sexualized exploitation of women with CAIS. Otherwise we agree on things like puberty blockers and Jazz Jennings. She specifically said that the professor had anti-semitic views which was a lie. And that's what got her on YouTube bad list. Her own actions take responsibility for your own actions.

No, and Exulansic has come in for criticism here and on at least one other thread, by me and others.

I confess I haven't watched her DSD stuff. I tried to find it in light of the comments above, but stumbled on something about CAIS bro conspiracy and racially motivated cartoons, which I don't think can be what you're referring to? I'm mangling the title horribly, I know. It was just... odd. Her ranting about a cartoon of her, with her putting foundation on to show she was really very white after all. Very very strange indeed.

Part of me thinks if you're going to make critiqueing videos of other people, including intercutting their content with disney villains, you can't be over-surprised to get the same back. If you can't stand the heat, and all that...

I would like to clarify a few things. They suspended the account Ex due to threats and doxing attempts, among other legitimate reasons. See here.

Many Jewish people find it offensive that she used anti-Semitism as a diversionary tactic (she's not Jewish). A cartoon such as this is considered offensive. Is there a rule that you cannot insult somebody who has made sexually harassing material against a woman with a very rare condition? Which includes making fun of body parts and spreading propaganda about a medical condition (cais) that has been understood for over 60 years? As a member of a small minority of chronically ill individuals do we have any right to defend ourselves. Is every GC Beyond reproach?

Yes Glinner basically said he disagrees with her on DSDs. But he left it there. I think he didn't want to pox her chances of getting back. I'm sure there's loads of ppl on the GC team I wouldn't enjoy a beer with. But that's not the point.

I listened to The Mess We're In last night and Glinner was very cagey and almost reluctant in expressing support for Exulansic in general over it. There also seems to be an argument over an offensive cartoon?

Some of her content is excellent and I agree, some of the information about DSDs is factually incorrect.
