I think I've put too much in the title!

Sarah Phillimore has done some great work here looking properly at the signatures to the Open Letter to the BBC.

19,000 signatures? More like 9,701? Really interesting.

Great work from Sarah there. I hope she sends it to the BBC and other news outlets.

That tweet about "anti colonialists" in the US and Canada trying to influence policy in the UK makes a good point.

Brilliantly scathing, that's the sort of thing I like to read with my morning coffee.

Can't wait to see what the police do with the report of a hate crime against the BBC.

Nice work as usual by Sarah.

Some of those fake signatures which are 'verified' express extremely disturbing sentiments. Good work from Sarah and colleagues there, many thanks!

Excellent bit of sleuthing. Some of those names are really chilling with their links to Nazi propaganda and violence towards women. The revised numbers are important.

we would add - if you are going to make a world wide appeal for support for your religious dogma, then 9,701 verified signatures is a pretty poor response.

I love a bit of accuracy.
