@Whatiswrongwithmyknee

*You insist that the word must mean the thing you want it to mean, and that all other uses of the word are invalid.

Same nonsense about "redefining of words".*

Oh my god, I think you must have been hit on the heat. You are the one insisting that words should mean what you want them to mean. The definition of woman is adult human female. You don't like that definition so are trying to change it to something which suits your agenda better. I am struggling to believe that you are a real poster as what you are saying is so clearly ridiculous.

"The definition of marriage is a union between a man and a woman! You're changing definitions to suit your agenda!"

As I was saying.

334bu · 25/10/2021 00:41

Here's the thing: A bigot's opinion on the words I use to describe them and their bigotry is utterly irrelevant to me.
So ,I can call transwomen, who call themselves lesbians, bigoted homophobes. Good to know.

SpookySeason77 · 25/10/2021 00:40

@334bu

*But trans women and trans men do feel comfortable using women's and men's restrooms*

Pity they don't care about the discomfort they might cause to others.

They do, actually. Most trans women are nervous wrecks when they're at the point where they don't pass enough to use women's bathrooms, but are too far in their transition to use men's.

Do you seriously think trans women want to stand out when using the bathroom? Do you think trans women don't want to pass and ve able to just use women's bathrooms without trouble just like anyone else?

@Ereshkigalangcleg

Transphobic cis people

That's not our identity. It's a word which only makes sense in an ideology we reject. Like saying people are infidels or heretics because they don't believe in your god.

Yeah, yeah, just like how homophobes reject the words "homophobic straight people" because "they're not afraid of gays" and "it's called being normal".

Here's the thing: A bigot's opinion on the words I use to describe them and their bigotry is utterly irrelevant to me.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/10/2021 00:35

But trans women and trans men do feel comfortable using women's and men's restrooms respectively, especially in later stages of their transition to the point they blend in without causing any trouble, I see no reason why they shouldn't.

Interesting, so you think they shouldn't use them if they are early in their "transition" or don't "blend in"?

Wildfart · 25/10/2021 00:35

Well, the biggest issue with this is that there aren't many spaces for non-binary people

There aren't many non binary people.

Not enough to register in population counts in data collection to 13 decimal places.

It is probably one of the most trivial youth movements ever, the only characteristic it seems to have is a desire for a certificate.

Dull as fuck.

bordersroaming · 25/10/2021 00:35

Many none binary people are actually quite happy with single sex systems

Cos like just because you have a none binary gender identity does not mean you don't see that sex isn't none binary

Like you still know if you are the "could get pregnant " type

Whatiswrongwithmyknee · 25/10/2021 00:34

See, the thing is, there'd be nothing stopping you from genuinely identifying as non-binary. The issue is that, considering literally everything you've said, you're being blatantly facetious.

Sigh. You can't be non-binary if you don't buy into the binary conceptualisation. In your brave new world, I actually consider myself agender. You really need to stop telling other people how they identify.

SpookySeason77 · 25/10/2021 00:33

@allmywhat

We still oppose exclusion of trans women from women's spaces •though

Why are you pushing for unisex spaces if transwomen can’t use them?

I didn't say can't.

The idea is that unisex spaces would be available to anyone who doesn't want to use either women's or men's spaces, be it non-binary people or closeted trans people.

But trans women and trans men do feel comfortable using women's and men's restrooms respectively, especially in later stages of their transition to the point they blend in without causing any trouble, I see no reason why they shouldn't.

Wildfart · 25/10/2021 00:30

gender labels

If we don't give a toss about identity and your gender labels.
you all disappear, as you keep telling us. So go ahead, cease to exist. No one cares.

Is it not rather that you insist on the inclusion of transwoman in female only spaces , despite them not being female.?

Blibbyblobby · 25/10/2021 00:29

Are you just straight up things that are the exact opposite of true? You are the ones yelling "two sexes, two sexes!" all over the place, whereas """genderists""" are pushing for unisex spaces.

I said Third spaces. Third. In addition to the sex-specific spaces.

I really don’t care how it’s cut and how many extra provisions are made as long as female people, of any gender identity, have access to single sex provisions when they need them.

Yet somehow, no matter how tolerant Genderists claim to be, that’s the one thing that cannot be accommodated. I wonder why.

LonginesPrime · 25/10/2021 00:29

Well, the biggest issue with this is that there aren't many spaces for non-binary people, and the GC movement is not exactly helping with that...

How do you think GC women should be helping you solve your space problem?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/10/2021 00:28

We still oppose exclusion of trans women from women's spaces though.

Why? When genderists, according to you, want unisex spaces? Have at them! Is it that you can't bear the idea of female only spaces existing? Sounds a bit petty?

MonsignorMirth · 25/10/2021 00:28

My posts literally described woman as a gender label, several times.
It's almost cute how you falsely state what I say, like a 4 year old!

Alektopteryx · 25/10/2021 00:27

Women aren't bleedin rectangles!

Indeed. Nor are we, and it's important to remember this, nor are we clownfish.

It's funny to watch the desperate redefinition of commonplace words. However, in this instance, the redefinition of 'women' to include some men does seem to have the explicit aim of alienating women from their own noun, depriving us from the means to even describe ourselves. It is deeply sinister and wholly abusive, coming as it does from the oppressor class in an attempt to further colonise the oppressed. It is to be resisted.

SpookySeason77 · 25/10/2021 00:26

@Ereshkigalangcleg

whereas """genderists""" are pushing for unisex spaces.

That's great! So women have a space, men have a space and genderists have a unisex space. I guess that's how it works?

We still oppose exclusion of trans women from women's spaces though.

@MonsignorMirth

I'd encourage everyone to go back and re-read BlibbyBlobby's posts in this thread.

And to mildly chuckle at people who say 'I am certain you are all cisgender' and then 'It's a resounding #NoThankYou on your attempts to dictate other people's identities.'

Transphobic cis people being all coy with "uhh, technically I reject gender" after hours and hours of saying gender labels must strictly be used in a way that aligns with one's sex isn't the revolutionary idea you people think it is.

And no, I genuinely do not give a damn that you do not consider the words "man" and "woman" to be the gender labels they are.
