It's so cool that so many women turned up for the march. Smile

Should have added, I picked that up from Professor Kathleen Stock's Twitter account this morning. I pressed send too soon, apologies.

it is brilliant to see this. inspiring women

LaBellina · 24/10/2021 09:42

Surprised and very very happy to see this.
Hopefully this will wake up more people to what is done to us in the name of ‘inclusion’.

Mrsjamin · 24/10/2021 09:38

Wow that's amazing to see.

Irene montero is Spain's equality minister and does not see the conflict between women's rights and trans rights. That's who they are protesting against, I think?

MissMarpleRocks · 24/10/2021 09:04

I’d probably go to something similar here if it was organised & I could attend if I was well enough (RA).

EyesOpening · 24/10/2021 09:00

That can’t be right, I thought there was only ever 100 on the ground together, or something?

catzwhiskas · 24/10/2021 01:14

Only about 30 seconds of coverage on rolling Tv news this evening. Women in Spain definitely organising . So many notifications on watts app, but it does seem that capture has taken place at all levels

MiladyBerserko · 23/10/2021 21:55

Still to reach critical mass, keep going

MiladyBerserko · 23/10/2021 21:54

Wel done Spanish sisters, so inspiring.

CreepingDeath · 23/10/2021 20:50

I really wish we could organise something similar.

1Week · 23/10/2021 20:49

Fair play to them.

Fleek · 23/10/2021 20:43

It's so touching to see them in such large numbers. And there are lots of young women there too. Well done them. I wish I was there

ArabellaScott · 23/10/2021 19:53

Solidaridad!

Brave women. Star

OhHolyJesus · 23/10/2021 19:24

And yet there is apparently a media blackout.

Has this been covered by the Spanish media, hell, any media, anywhere?

NiceGerbil · 23/10/2021 18:05

So the that's what a handful of Russian bots and women with multiple sock accounts looks like.

fournonblondes · 23/10/2021 17:53

So happy to read this!

FindTheTruth · 23/10/2021 17:37

Catnamedeaster they inspire the world. Radfems in Oslo are outside the Spanish embassy protesting too. wonder why we didn't know about it here?

@Igneo

So why is there a picture of someone with a ‘kill the terf’ t shirt?
Is that an old picture or does that person turn up everywhere in that t-shirt
dementedma · 23/10/2021 17:17

Well done them!

CatNamedEaster · 23/10/2021 17:15

That makes me feel quite emotional. It's not something I feel able to talk to friends about (and my employer is so far up Stonewall's arse I couldn't voice anything to colleagues) so the only exposure I really get to this issue is on this board.

It makes me feel proud that women in other countries are willing to stand up to this.

FindTheTruth · 23/10/2021 17:12

True Embarrassing. What's shocking is the media in Spain not reporting it. just one 20 second clip (careful not to show the size of the crowd). The government says nothing. The media says nothing. Full blown patriarchy. Thousands upon thousands of women have travelled by bus during the night to be in Madrid for the start of the demonstration. They only know about it through each other. remind you of something?

It shouldn't take courage to attend such a march but it does.

So many brave women responding to the call to stand up for women in these oppressive times.
