Doesn't that actually tell you something about the nature of your beliefs?
@BlueberryCheezecake it just tells us that when 95% of the population agree with us (once they are actually fully aware of the issue) there will be people from all sorts of political outlooks among them.

Helleofabore · 21/10/2021 20:42

RepentMotherfucker

To be clear! I was not invoking your name in vain or yelling your name full volume!

Good to see you here though…

Helleofabore · 21/10/2021 20:40

@Theeyeballsinthesky

I will never not find it amusing that ppl who are on the side of “suck my girl dick”, the side that sends rape & death threats & the side that has physically attacked women think they have any moral high ground in this matter whatsoever

I mean it’s quite a feat to be that lacking in self awareness

Yes. I see Blueberry has come and plopped again showing just how much thought they put into posts.

We all have ‘Repent Motherfucker’ ringing in our ears to the sound of a massive tambourine. And Blueberry tries the ‘look at who you are allied with’ move, yet again!!

Repent motherfucker!

DraintheBlood · 21/10/2021 20:38

@Bouledeneige

Please don't be pumped about this. The Tories anti-woke agenda also includes negating human rights, reducing legal aid, anti-Black Lives Matter, anti-charity lobbying and lots of other scary stuff. We agree with him on one thing but many other things are pretty regressive.
We can be over the moon happy that he shows a sliver of support on this issue and not agree with him on any other one.

Women are allowed to put women first. FEMinism is allowed to centre females and not fix every fucking thing else wrong in the world. Women don’t have to screw ourselves over by prioritising feelings of guilt about other groups struggles.

Appealing to female socialisation to put ourselves last always can fuck right along already.

Yes. But this is the most important thing for me. So if I have a vote to cast I am not going to give it to a party that wants to take the word woman and erase any meaning it has ever had - which is all the others.

So thank you Boris. Keep it up and I might actually go Blue which is something I thought could never happen.

Lovelyricepudding · 21/10/2021 20:35

Bouledeneige and the alternative is

Unfortunately it is likely to galvanise Nicolas Sturgeon in her homophobic antiwoman agenda.

MsGoodenough · 21/10/2021 20:32

Given that the Tories are going to be in power for the foreseeable future, it's better that they are showing some sense on this issue at least.

@LonginesPrime

It shouldn't have taken this long. Other Tory Ministers have expressed concerns about the threat to free speech in Universities and there is talk of tightening laws.

I think it took this long because (1) the judgement in Maya Forstater's case needed time to filter through to HR/policy departments, (2) Boris couldn't just wade into a live disagreement or debate as PM, so he had to wait until there was a less contentious issue he could express approval about - this is perfect as he's not condemning anyone or anything; he's simply declining an invite to a charity event which must be a commonplace occurrence, so it's understated and perfectly reasonable, (3) Nolan investigates must have helped in focussing public figures' minds on whether they're seen to be favouring Stonewall’s views above others, as well as highlighting much of the alarm and controversy around the issue and (4) he knows the sex/gender debate has pushed a huge number of left-wing voters towards the right, so it was necessary for him to welcome them with open arms at some point - he couldn't stay neutral forever if he wants to catch those votes.

Interesting points thanks.
**@DraintheBlood* Of course if that involved saying he would suck a tw cock he would say that.*

Lol!

Sorry but I am so pumped about this! I just think at this stage this is so fundamental we just have to like shag a Tory frog 🐸 and I say that as a lifelong Labour voter (and non Tory frogshagger)
Can we gag and bag him before we shag him?

If we did that I could possibly froggy it up, on the basis we’d be screwed by worse if we let our vaginas be repelled by the slimy green warty thing.

(I’m in a safe Tory seat so i can stick to spoiling my ballot & save my vagina)

@donquixotedelamancha

That's not "support", it's a generic answer that they'll send pretty much anyone who writes

I don't agree, they know who the LGBA are and how controversial saying 'keep up the good work' is. I'll bet they don't get responses like that from Labour or the Lib Dems.

It is unthinkable that the same response would be issued by Labour or Lib Dems.

The letter did read a bit like "send the usual - sorry I can't come but you're doing splendidly" reply but I don't think Johnson or someone in Johnson's is unaware of the issues here and the implications of sending it.

ArabellaScott · 21/10/2021 20:16

shag a Tory frog

Confused

Damn maybe I am too drunk if I’m forgetting my words.

DraintheBlood · 21/10/2021 20:13

@LemonJuiceFromConcentrate

Relieved I didn’t get that wrong in the other direction and quote-post about Boris sucking cock in the middle of an innocent emoji discussion.
For a second I thought you were trying to do some type of MN secret bj giving a tw girl dick a bj here. So I must already be too drunk after half a glass.

So I’m relieved you cleared that up & I can finish the glass.

donquixotedelamancha · 21/10/2021 20:05

It's hardly surprising. The Conservative party are engaged in a 'culture war' against woke politics and in favour of populism. Much like Trump.

In so far as a culture war exists (and I don't think anything so simplistic is occuring outside of America) it's between everyone who supports rationalist, plural democracy and a small, but influential, cadre of totalitarian nutbars.

I am on the same side about the benefits of democracy as Thatcher, Bush and Enoch Powell even if I disagree with them about every other issue.

There are worse monsters than BJ lurking out there. The Robespierres, Stalins and Owen Jones' of the world are not confined to history.

Gncq · 21/10/2021 20:02

I thought Blueberry was implying they're against free speech. Who knows.

Waitwhat23 · 21/10/2021 19:59

@BlueberryCheezecake you're on the side of women being raped in prisons by transwomen, women self excluding from rape crisis services and this- www.terfisaslur.com

The nature of your beliefs are misogynistic, sexist and anti-woman.

FreeBritnee · 21/10/2021 19:58

Oh sorry, wrong thread 😆

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 21/10/2021 19:53

I mean, the thumbs-up gesture is offensive in some parts of the world; as is a raised palm that we’d use in a friendly way for thanks/hi; but I don’t think either of those could truly be said to “mean” something offensive here, even if we’re aware they mean it somewhere.

So the same applies to 👌, I guess.
