This has pissed me right off

Interestingly under the law bit gender reassignment is before sex. Angry

@Piapiano

There's a bit at the bottom of the website which says something like "did you find the information you were looking for?". In clicked no, said that I didn't understand it and why have they erased the word "women". It's anonymous.
thank you! I've done this too
SalsaLove · 18/10/2021 22:23

But but how many trans men go through menopause or get pregnant? I don’t get this.

ChateauMargaux · 18/10/2021 22:19

I am so happy to read this.. I assumed all women went through the menopause, now I know that it is 50% of people, its pretty good odds that I will be fine! Hurrah!

itsraininghere · 18/10/2021 22:15

That is unbelievable. Women totally removed . Trans and intersex specifically recognised.

KittenKong · 18/10/2021 21:39

No - it’s easy to miss, the way they’ve put it into the bar there. Have fun!

PickAChew · 18/10/2021 21:37

Ah, thanks, kitten

I'd blame my menopause brain but apparently that doesn't affect me.

Tidyspy · 18/10/2021 21:31

Could it be hereditary I wonder…? Maybe there’s a test you can get to find out if you’re a carrier (or whatever the scientific term is)? And what could the symptoms be? It’s just all so mysterious. Baffling.

KittenKong · 18/10/2021 21:30

@PickAChew

I couldn't find the feedback link.
Allllll the way down at the bottom.

WomaninBoots · 18/10/2021 21:29

We can't even keep the bloody menopause for ourselves can we?

Side effect from variously poisoning your body with cross sex hormones is not the fucking menopause!

BelindaBumcrack · 18/10/2021 21:22

Oh wow! It's people etc until the section about "Supporting trans, intersex and non-binary employees" Women don't actually get a mention at all. But men do. How absolutely fucking surprising... !!

PickAChew · 18/10/2021 21:21

I couldn't find the feedback link.

KittenKong · 18/10/2021 21:19

Oh yes, it will probably all be ignored though, as they are beyond help.

I had fun filling this in too.
GeorgiaMcGraw · 18/10/2021 21:10

I've commented. Sick of "woman" being a taboo word. They can all just fuck off, frankly. I am an angry, hormonal, pregnant woman. One day, if I'm lucky, I'll be an angry, hormonal, menopausal woman. No man will ever experience these things. That is reality.

Delphinium20 · 18/10/2021 20:59

Is 'The Menopause' a British way of saying it, with 'the'? Or are they having a go at that too?

SickAndTiredAgain · 18/10/2021 20:54

@oldwomanwhoruns

I posted this on the other current menopause thread, but worth repeating - Stonewall have gone one better and also believe that there is an 'Andropause'

Workplace Equality Index 2021, page 4
1.8 Has the organisation reviewed other policies to ensure they are LGBT inclusive?
Guidance:
• This might include menopause or andropause policies

To be fair, andropause isn’t a stonewall idea and isn’t new. I’ve no idea on it’s validity but I’m not sure it’s anything to do with stonewall - article from 2002

I've just read Acas's accessibility statement on their website. Ironically it says:

"We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand."

I think I might need to make another complaint...

KittenKong · 18/10/2021 20:46

I was happy to see that today Timpsons (the shoe repair shop people) announced m that they would financially help out their staff with HRT prescriptions.

Awwww that’s nice I thought (Timpsons seem like a good lot) - but what was the Huff Posts take on this? ... HRT prescribed for women and trans women. They just had to get that in there didn’t they? Angry

ImSoMagical · 18/10/2021 20:27

@Piapiano thanks for that info, I've also replied no!

TreXX · 18/10/2021 20:26

Ok, that's done me in for the day.

Got as far as "around 50% of people" and just couldn't cope with more.

Goodnight internet

viques · 18/10/2021 20:25

I have also filled this in with the following comment: "I'm a 47 year old male. Should I expect to go through the menopause? Your website does not make this clear"
Lolapusht · 18/10/2021 20:13

@Version4needsabitofwork

I'm perimenopausal and I'm having a bad day. I gave them both barrels.

Thanks for posting OP, I found it quite cathartic.

Gotta love the PeriRage!!

Hope your day got better GinCake.
