My Pregnant Husband

Has anyone watched this? It's on Discovery +

Why would anyone who was 'assigned a female at birth' and decided that was wrong for them, live as a man, get all the hormone and surgery treatment then decide to get pregnant?

Prepared to be flamed but isn't this a case of having your cake and eating it??

@Beamur

I haven't watched the programme. But I can't really see why this is such a contraversial topic. Both sexes often want children. Even if you have dysphoria, that presumably doesn't override the desire for children? It might make the reality of childbearing a bit harder for transmen. But I wouldn't want to deny them the opportunity to have a baby or criticise that choice. They still have female bodies.
I agree with this.

Don't want male-bodied people in women's prisons, refuges, rape crisis services, hospital wards, providing intimate care when a same-sex carer has been requested.

Don't want people who have benefited from male puberty competing in women's sports.

Zero issue at all with trans men having babies.

Have any follow ups been done on the children born to trans men (who have taken hormones/medications before/during pregnancy)? Any investigations to ensure no risk/issues/complications have resulted from pregnancy subsequent to medicalised transition?

But it is not even pic'n'mix. Nothing they do day to day, no surgeries or drugs, no clothes or hairstyle, no toilet choices, manipulation of language or preferred activities have anything to do with their sex. The only thing that determines their sex is their reproductive role and that is female.

It's fucking ridiculous

OldTinHat · 11/10/2021 08:54

@Lovelyricepudding Isn't it just?! What hypocrisy.

Yep. It is the most fundamentally female thing you can do.
