CPS leaves Stonewall

Someody help me.

I know I am not going mad, I just heard this on Radio2 news.

CPS leaves Stnewall, the legality of its advice having been questioned.

But I can't find it being reported anywhere, Google has let me down!

Anyone else hear it?

Anyone find confirmation elsewhere?

Or - what did I mishear?

About bloody time - I hope they are ashamed that it took a child defending her rights for them to look at it. What's the point of being legal experts if you hand over decision making to a lobby group?

Thank god for Safe Schools Alliance and 14 year od girls who take such shit back to review when they first get told to go and play nice!

Win or Lose it looks very much like each case thats brought is making people think and changing things for the better.

@TheBigBad well done to your daughter, and well done to you for raising such a warrior! We've talked about her case in our house quite a bit, we were all gutted the JR couldn't proceed, but in the end, she succeeded! She took on the bleeding CPS and won! Incredible fortitude.

Six o'clock news on Radio4 has mentioned the CPS decision, about half way through the programme (to give an indication of how important they think it is).
To repeat: not a single mention on Evan Davis' programme. Not in headlines, not in analysis.

I'll change just to remember Guy Garvey is on there.

Not sure who I am listening to right now - stupid mare its Steve Lamaq isn't it? Smile I've heard of SPRINTS, The Clash (obvs), Bowie, Radiohead, Amyl and the Sniffers and many more.

Maybe this old dog could make a change!

I've just listened to the whole of the PM programme, except the Raducanu bit which got lost to the shipping forecast.
Not a single mention of the CPS decision. Evan Davis presiding.Hmm
They did manage to squeeze in an item about Andrew Neil and GB News where Evan and his mate from the Grauniad stuck the boot in had a 'balanced' discussion.

Modesty forbids, but I was a small part of the campaign to save 6Music from being gobbled up by Radio 2 under the nefarious rule of Lesley Douglas and her Svengali the agent John Noel.

Some great DJs on 6M: Mark Riley, Liz Kershaw, Lammo, the esteemed Gid Coe, Guy Garvey, Tom Robinson, Cerys Matthews.....

Really? Can I tune my car radio into it and hear reasonably tuneful music and miss out on Vine et al?

I'll give that a go in the morning!

Actually have just retuned my red radio and will listen to it as I finish my last report tonight!
