You do have to admire the circular logic some people construct in their heads.

"I think people don't like immigration because they're racist. People aren't attacking this immigrant, who I think is white. That just shows how racist they are".

(And it's possible there's an extra circular loop in there where he assumes she's white because people aren't being racist.)

I guess it helps understand why he "brain swoons" at Judith Butler, when you see what is own internal though processes look like.

And I have no idea what people who 'look white' are supposed to look like. One of the good things about being British is that no one gives a stuff about your ancestors. Boris Johnson is partially Turkish. Iain Duncan-Smith is one-eighth Japanese. Ed Miliband is insufficiently Belgian.

This seems to be a habit of middle class , white male lawyers. I once went to a woman in law event and some arse of a QC snottily commented that the event wasn’t diverse because “all the women were white .” He had completely missed the three Asian and mixed race women in the picture. Oh and of course he was a white guy. I have no idea why these guys do it but it makes them seem idiotic.

I know nothing about her and the situation, but my immediate reaction is that she doesn’t even look white in that picture he’s attached. I think he’s thoroughly lost the plot and am amazed that there are people still championing him.

What an incredible achievement for such a young woman - I am in awe of her. I hope she will be a great role model to girls and women everywhere.

I see no evidence of hostility to Mo Farah, Jofra Archer, Izzy Wong or the Porter sisters.

I've not heard or read a single bit of commentary about Emma's race. He's basically starting a race row, and when people respond, he'll say, "See, told you so, they're obsessed with race."

Despite people pointing out that she is half Chinese and half Romanian, he is still motoring on with the ethnicity he is assigning to her. Sure, JM seems to think he can declare who is a woman and who isn't; to women. So why not declare a woman's ethnicity for her too.

Riding on the coat tails of the capable and talented Joanna Cherry gave him the appearance of having a credibility which he does not in reality possess. In my very humble opinion.

I think he lives in his own world.
