As eager as Margerita might be for this thread to be about Zoophilia, it's about LGB Alliance and it's important that LGB people hsve an org that looks out for them. Most people think it's a good idea for charities to have a specific focus, and it's great that LGB have one for them.

so750 · 27/08/2021 00:54

I can't quite believe that just 1 Google search and this comes up. How is it even legal? You may prefer not to go there.

@MargaritaPie

Got a link to that paper you speak of?
I think it's this one

@DevonTF

I am a straight female - but changed my Amazon Prime (smile) to LGB Alliance. It doesn't cost anything - but hoping it sends a message.
Thanks for letting me know I can do that.

Shop by Moley has so much detail. Zoom in at the ready...
Lol at that pic. So much detail. Zoom in

That puts FloralBunting’s predicted ‘look, a squirrel!’ in a new and disturbing light, certainly.

Let's just say, this isn't my first rodeo and some people are tediously predictable Wink

I've just done the same.
Stealhsquirrelnutkin · 26/08/2021 21:26

If you use Amazon you can also set them up as your nominated charity.

Just type the word smile and a full stop in front of the amazon.co.uk address in the navigation bar.

I was delighted with the LGB Alliance was formed and gladly support them with a monthly direct debit. In fact I doubled the monthly sum a while back, inspired by trolls who turned up here to warn us of the dreadful peril of supporting an organisation formed to protect the rights of same sex oriented people. We homosexual people need to look out for each other in this strange new homophobic world that tries to shame us with accusations of being genital fetishists because our orientation is sex based.

I also very much appreciate lesbianandgaynews.com To the extent of having bought a year's membership and just given a contribution to their latest appeal. It's so refreshing to have a trustworthy online news source that covers lesbian gay and bisexual issues.

MoreRainThanAnyYet · 26/08/2021 21:18

And Age UK are anti child, and Save the Children hate adults. All makes sense now.

yourhairiswinterfire · 26/08/2021 21:17

The government’s Charity Commission is “engaging” with the LGB Alliance after it breached Twitter rules by comparing LGBT+ inclusion to bestiality."

Ahem.

LGB A quote tweeted Allison Bailey who had tweeted about this
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/4320892-Queer-theory-and-bestiality-LGBTQ-Z

Bestiality is a criminal offence. Objecting to it being added to the LGBT alphabet, as Allison and LGB A did, is not.

I'm sure the Charity Commission has better critical thinking skills than homophobes on Twitter.

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 26/08/2021 21:11

Does this mean that trans charities such as Mermaids and Gendered Intelligence should properly be described as anti-LGB

Yep

And the cats protection league are anti dog

And the rspb are anti cat (to be fair this one makes sense)

MoreRainThanAnyYet · 26/08/2021 21:10

@InspiralCoalescenceRingdown

Would that be the tweet that referred to a paper specifically discussing the inclusion of zoophilia within the LGBT+ umbrella?

That is to say, they compared bestiality to bestiality?

That puts FloralBunting’s predicted ‘look, a squirrel!’ in a new and disturbing light, certainly.

The easiest way for me to check if this is the case inspiral is to see if margarita changes the subject or otherwise ignores your comment
OldCrone · 26/08/2021 21:07

The penis news article describes LGB Alliance as anti trans. So a LGB charity which doesn't centre trans people is anti-trans according to them

Does this mean that trans charities such as Mermaids and Gendered Intelligence should properly be described as anti-LGB?

What a great letter. It accurately calls out the arrogance, the overreach and the inbuilt homophobia evident in the challenge.
I've also changed my Amazon charity to support the LGB Alliance. Gloriously it was some tra prat on twatter who alerted me to it.

dyslek · 26/08/2021 19:15

Wait, Iv got Amazon prime. I had no idea about the charity thing. I will attend to it imediatly. Smile

Yes it's a damned good letter isn't it?

Really is. Asks some very important questions that would be great to see answered.

I'm sure GLP will be more than happy to respond, being huge fans of transparency and all that...

ScreamingMeMe · 26/08/2021 18:34

[quote yourhairiswinterfire]If anyone hasn't seen, Dennis Kavanagh wrote a cracking letter to GLP asking for transparency regarding their case against LGB Alliance
