Just to update, there are now at least 8 other Police & Crime Commissioners supporting Lisa Townsend (PCC, Surrey) and/or expressing concerns about Stonewall.

They are the PCCs of:

Swindon and Wiltshire
Suffolk
Dorset
Avon & Somerset
Herts
Lincs
Hants and IOW
Leics

Including Surrey, there are 2 female PCCs on this list and 7 males. All Con.

Good news but honestly the writing "throwing support behind"?

This is the Gold standard of journalism? How about "in support of", "expressed support for". Not the point I know but still.

When did it expire? How much did it cost? Who decided not to renew?

I sent an email to my PCC two weeks ago and asked him to show his support. I haven't heard anything yet but I don't have high expectations.

Also sent an email to Sophie Linden deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime which is the London equivalent of a PCC role

Anyway, yes, I do look forward to colouring in the rest of the map. Please post here when you see more PCCs stating their willingness to stand up for women's rights!

Thank you Lisa @SurreyPCC. You have no idea the relief that your statement has spread across the land. And now other PCCs are joining you.

And yes, the realisation of the wholesale removal of women's rights only ever goes one way. You will get more and more support.

This very forum is targeted, relentlessly, to get it shut down, because more and more women are learning what is happening.

It comes to something, in 2021, when the very people who will readily hand wring over VAWG, are too scared to even define one.
