@KittenKong

Other museums have survived. Some quite nicely. Wonder what the X fa for was here?
Some museums have survived, plenty are or have been at risk, especially smaller local ones, none are doing "nicely" after months of closure.

@KittenKong

But in today’s ‘good news’... the ‘vagina’ museum isn’t getting its lease renewed (ahhhhhh) and they can’t find an alternative ‘suitable’ space up in Camden. It’s going to be (yet another) clothes store (for teen tourists to but overpriced knackered old stinky second hand duds).

I guess their target market didn’t step up and fill the gap of the women they hacked off. Sales and marketing 101 - don’t alienate your target and don’t tell honking porkie pies.

Yeah, it's definitely that and not because there's been a global pandemic on or anything

I will need to see who manufactures sainsbury yeast product.

When I, long ago, worked at Nestle, I was surprised by how many supermarket own brands were actually also made by Nestle. Especially for peanut butter, as Nestle owned Sunpat, but still made several supermarkets own brand peanut butter too.

Fun.

ErrolTheDragon · 02/08/2021 23:20

Why buy mass-produced soap when there are lots of local, ethical producers?
We started buying glycerine soap from a farmers market when after getting one bar because it smelled so nice, DH discovered it didn't set his eczema off like most soaps. We get a big mixed box every six months or so. Much nicer than dove.
This is the one we get but I'm sure there's similar all over the country.

Sainsbury’s yeast product is a good alternative to marmite. I stopped buying marmite a few years ago because they donated to stonewall.

colouringindoors · 02/08/2021 23:13

Not Marmite 😱😱😱

Oh bollocks Sad

Lauren1983 · 02/08/2021 23:12

Chickenyhead · 02/08/2021 23:07

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOÃ’
TripleSeptic · 02/08/2021 23:07

I fell out with Dove after their embarrassing breastfeeding advert 3 or 4 years ago, in case you are wondering about their other marketing mistakes. There was a thread on here at the time. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that they are at it again.

littlbrowndog · 02/08/2021 23:03

Wow thanks Lauren. Wer3 they nice ?

PricklesTheHedgehog · 02/08/2021 23:01

Bye bye Dove, I used to be a big fan of your soap and shower gel.

You've let your brand down with this nonsense. Hmm

Ereshkigalangcleg · 02/08/2021 23:00

I already boycott dove for their stupid divisive advertising asking if breastfeeding women should 'put it away'.

Oh wow yes, I'd forgotten that! Much woman support.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 02/08/2021 22:58

Dove have always been supporters of women

It's a shame they've decided to stop. Oh well, there are many soap etc brands out there.

Lauren1983 · 02/08/2021 22:58

littlbrowndog - Tesco do sell their own version of mini Magnums. I bought a box at the weekend. It has the almond ones plus milk and white chocolate sticks.

Youcanchangeyournamebut · 02/08/2021 22:52

littlbrowndog · 02/08/2021 22:52

Watch jerk. Bbc1. It’s kinda clumsy not like Malcolm tucker but can’t believe bbc are showing this

keeping2chevronsapart · 02/08/2021 22:49

Please tell me I can use bodyform pads. So tired of my local shops only stocking always or their rubbish own brand. I'm 50 so hoping I won't need them much longer!! Just told DP no more dove he wants to know what anti perspiration he is allowed that won't irritate his skin!

I explained about Laurel being a stool pigeon he said ah I wondered why they let an old man with injuries compete!

FluffyBattleKitten · 02/08/2021 22:47

I already boycotted Dove for their animal testing policy and their contradictory unfeminist and campaigns.

But I will be recommending other brands to others.
Lidls own brand feasts are good magnum substitute.

littlbrowndog · 02/08/2021 22:45

Omg jerk on bbc 1. Watch it.

Slagging of the Wokies. 😂🤣

DdraigGoch · 02/08/2021 22:44

@FindTheTruth

Unilever 'kind to people on the planet' except the young women excluded from the Olympics, stealing their Olympian dreams, because a male took their spot. And Dove/Unilever celebrate. got it.

Brands:
Lynx
Dove
Persil
Wall's ice creams
Hellmann's
Knorr
Lipton
Lux
Magnum
Sunsilk
Sunlight

I'm not sure that I've bought anything from any of those brands for yonks. My locally-sourced, plastic-free purge got there first.
littlbrowndog · 02/08/2021 22:42

That is true draig. No support of the trans men
