I think the difference between most of us and these extremists is, they see the use of preferred pronouns as a matter of respecting fundamental human rights. So for them, saying "you shouldn't misgender a rapist" is like saying that we shouldn't torture or murder them - we have to respect their human rights despite their terrible crime.

Whereas for most of us, use of preferred pronouns is a matter of courtesy, and we see no particular reason to be polite about a rapist. No human rights issue is involved.

Or, if a human rights issue is involved, it's rather the issue of free speech on the part of those who want to describe accurately the sex of someone.

How on earth is it anyone's fault but theirs? I'm new to the debate on this but how can anyone possibly blame this crime on people not dating someone!
I’ve been on this merry-go-round for about 6 years. If you find an answer other than male entitlement, let me know.

No-one is owed sex, if you can't get it learn to live without it. Strong incel/man vibe as they do believe they are entitled to sex and can't stand the fact that women are the gatekeepers of what they feel they are owed.

I am going to follow the good example @Ninkanink set and amend my previous vocabulary. Teeth baring smile were the words I should have used.

I will endeavor to educate myself for the future.

Seems my previous comment fell foul of guidelines. I’ll rephrase, since it’s relevant:

Nowadays lesbians apparently must be willing to cater to otherwise they are ‘hateful bigots’. And to blame for heinous crimes against women, by men.

I know TRAs are very strong on believing transwomen are women, but here it's just bizarre... do they honestly think Chris Chan is female? From Chris Chan's own history, it seems they didn't start identifying as female until quite late on, and then it was part of the desperate quest to get a girlfriend.
They don't think any man is female. But as there is no criteria to make a distinction, then they all are.

What they clearly do think is that any man is entitled to do and say what he likes, and sleep with whoever he wants.

That's the actual distinction.

Everything about Chris Chan is so open I don't see how he won't be convicted? He has been living all his lunacy online for years. He's given out his house address (which burned down) and done video tours (his mother is/was a hoarder and father now dead from a heart attack). My teens have watched his videos for years, not because they think he's great, but because it's like watching the biggest train wreck that ever existed.
