They are really committed to pushing anal sex on teenagers.

@dyslek

Yes, isen't there a quote that goes; men like anal because women dont. Grim in the extreme. I think the whole thing of removing condoms is similar, showing contempt to someone while having sex with them. Porn sexualises hatred and contempt.
"porn sexualises hatred and contempt" I would definately agree, along with submitting to/accepting pain, fear, terror Sad

and yes, I am young, but I have literally in past few months sworn off ALL/ANY human touch for life (including hoping I'd find a loving safe person, gave up the idea) and I haven't even had that much touch good bad or otherwise in my life, and 90% was bad. And since I can't read minds, even if there are loving people out there, I don't want the chance to find out the person is not. Plus my self hate and body hate has damaged me for life, I'm broken, and nobody wants to deal with that either, which I understand. I just do not trust humans (even self, I'm no better lol). Including avoid doctors at all costs unless an extreme emergency...even then, depending, might just leave it up to fate/nature/god if I live or not. I'm an introvert anyway. Though lonely for genuine human but loving, safe connection. I just think it either doesn't exist, I don't deserve it, or it's a fantasy to lure you into abuse or all 3. Hopefully others get a different life experience. And it angers/saddens me when I think of kids!!!

NiceGerbil · 27/07/2021 20:51

The fact the piece in the OP says girl at one point and yay she didn't used to like anal now she does is appalling.

Whoever it's aimed at that is about teen girls getting to enjoy it. Bleurgh.

zanahoria · 27/07/2021 20:20

But I’m even more confused

I am too

It started off as a magazine and presumably back then it was what it said on the tin. Now it is an online only thing and its demogrphic has shifted.

dyslek · 27/07/2021 16:33

Sorry to hear you've had such horrible experiances with men Flowers
Im single, have been most of my life (and I love it!) and I would recomend it to anyone for many reasons.
Only have sex you actually want from now on.

dyslek · 27/07/2021 16:31

WinglessSonglessBird · 27/07/2021 15:04

Men don't want women or girls to have control or ownership over ANY part of their body; it makes them mad. Hence the anal, I think.

Like, you could say, hey you can have all my body BUT that. It enrages them and I think that's part of it too.

But really it's the pain, control, fear aspect IMO. And that is scary to me. I know some people enjoy it, even women. That's ok, cool. There are some men that literally only like it BECAUSE of the pain and harm it causes.

And men literally tell me positions to do, and get mad if you move. Yes, it is all performing. Hopefully others have better experiences with sex, bodies.

There is a proliferation of mainly men who get off on torture, pain, fear to another person, for real, no joke. And abused girls are damaged and now linked to that, too. Sex is all about destroying the soul. At least since the 80s. Not sure if that's its purpose; to me it does seem that it is.

WinglessSonglessBird · 27/07/2021 14:58

I will tell you for a fact that many older men who are aggressive, controlling, get-off-on-pain-fear types are obsessed with anal. I started to try it cuz someone was hell-bent on it. Only something small went in but it hurt so bad and the whole thing was just NOPE for me.

And I grew up thinking that that is what sex is: performing. That's what I did. I was cut off from my body anyway. I still think that's what sex is apparently. Performing... and it doesn't matter if it's loving, feels good or safe, etc cuz that's not real life it's a fairytale. Sad but I can't be the only one and I'm an adult now and still in that mindset to a point, and is a big reason why I have sworn off any and all human touch and gave up on relationships. Sex to me is not about love. "making love." Ha, that is NOT what it is, and society has made it that way or helped it along that way. I did feel I owed my body to people cuz that's being good and nice.

dyslek · 27/07/2021 12:56

Yes, I think it is a type of porn for older blokes. They just call it 'teen vogue' for added pervy kicks.

dyslek · 27/07/2021 12:54

Surely no actual teenage girls read 'teen vogue' ffs.
It aimed at rich people isent it?

I would imagine from their output that they are aiming for the pervy middleaged man demographic, who get an additional kick out of thinking very young women are also reading it and are actually in to all this shit?

Eyesofdisarray · 27/07/2021 11:17

Bring back Jackie magazine. Oh such different times....

Jackgrealishscurtains · 27/07/2021 10:15

Oh my god, missed that bit about the readership statistics - so it is basically a type of porn for blokes?

Who are the writers for this 'magazine'? How can Vogue want to be associated with this?

Clymene · 27/07/2021 10:00

@Jackgrealishscurtains

I remember reading teen magazines when I was younger and feeling pressure that a) I wasn't having position-of-the-fortnight sex with a boyfriend b) I didn't have a 'best friend' c) I wasn't pretty like the models.

I just wasn't ready for any of the sex stuff, some girls my age were, but I just wasn't. I did love clothes and makeup though and enjoyed looking at the articles about 17 Makeup and River Island outfits.

I cannot imagine the pressure I would feel now reading Teen Vogue and feeling like I should be spending my money on lube and fetish wear for my 'transgender loved one'.

Do teenagers actually even read Teen Vogue?

Clearly not if those figures are correct. 95% are over 24 and I very much doubt adult women are reading it.

So basically it's a wank mag for men who enjoy thinking about introducing teenage girls to anal sex 🤢🤢🤬🤮

Whatwouldscullydo · 27/07/2021 09:37

Angry🤮

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 27/07/2021 09:34

That’s what l was thinking.

IvyTwines2 · 27/07/2021 09:34

So I'm guessing most of 'Teen' Vogue's readers are actually adult males.

Waitwhat23 · 27/07/2021 09:20

@Jackgrealishscurtains Looking back, I suspect the Position of the Fortnight was giggled over more than tried because it was so ludicrous but I agree with you that it put pressure on teenagers. This current stuff is on a bizarre different level - I fear it's influenced by the rise of the normalisation of extreme porn. A far cry from the 'soft porn' stuff which was around when I was a teenager.

ikeepseeingit · 27/07/2021 09:13
but by those figures hardly any of the readers are teens, perhaps they have more sense

According to the Washington Examiner, quoting numbers by ComScore, Teen Vogue had 8,341,000 unique visitors in May 2017 and 4,476,000 in 2018. 1.7 percent of their May 2018 audience was 17 or younger, 2.6 percent were 18 to 24 years old

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_Vogue
Thanks for reading it in depth! But I’m even more confused. Are adults 25+ reading the teen vogue magazine then? Why are they doing that when there is the normal vogue magazine? That feels even stranger tbh.

Jackgrealishscurtains · 27/07/2021 09:11

Yes l will.

But they will just give a stock answer.

Jackgrealishscurtains · 27/07/2021 09:05

What the fuck is the obsession with teenagers and anal sex?

And that line about looking 'cute and dewy all night long' - urgh. As well as everything else mentioned.

Also, slight aside, but what teenager has 40 dollars to spend on lube?

Thank you.

I’m going to do this.

Anyone else??

So just over 4% of its readership is aged 24 or under?

Who IS reading this? Who is writing articles (agree: GROOMING) about young teenage girls and anal sex?? 🧐

I’m genuinely sickened. As for that leather contraption….
