Thought it deserved a thread of its own on this day of the shopping trip to Glasgow.
JK Rowling has just tweeted it too in response to Joanna Cherry. How I love all these strong, brave women.

Please take a look at what is happening in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 The Welsh Women need our help.

It must be hurtful for the friend of his mother to have her son be so hostile towards her too, I suppose.

Yes. I think it's unfair to claim she said she was "anti-LGBTQ" just because she was GC, and she's not just some random, she's her friend, but yes I do agree she shouldn't have been brought up in the meeting, as it was going to be painful for DP.

PankhurstConnection · 21/07/2021 16:25

[quote Igneococcus]Also in the Scotland section, the NHS robbed the rainbow from LGBT+ it seems, "blatant cultural approbriation" says Peter Tatchell:

If we are going down that path I think the Christians had it first Peter, so it would be you appropriating it.

You numpty.

PankhurstConnection · 21/07/2021 16:24

Ah we spied one goon during the speeches. He was masked up with a bandana and dark glasses while the police spoke to him. He hung around up the back. Did more show when everyone moved on to the beer garden?

That was amusing - I didn't even notice them. It was pointed out to me after and I was most amused.

It was an excellent turn out and so fantastic to see all that support for Marion Miller (who is lovely) - it shows me how much support and solidarity women have for one another. The atmosphere was amazing and so positive, so many women (and some men)) all just talking to one another even though they had never met before.

They say don't meet your heroes but I had the opportunity to meet several heroes of this and I wasn't disappointed with any of them, absolutely brilliant people every one of them. It really recharged the batteries to meet so many interesting and passionate people and just to chat to all these folk in a relaxed environment - because it was - it was so welcoming and friendly.

Oh and ftr I saw plenty of young women there, quite a large number of them and it was a joy to see.

I don't think it was a clever move either —but then I'm not living in the same city as a man who is out to obliterate women's rights.

Extraordinary that a woman who seems to have been a solid second wave feminist and all round socially-involved women could have a child who loves her but appears to hate and want to destroy women like her.

ScreamingMeMe · 21/07/2021 15:30

I do agree that mentioning David Paisley's mother was not the best idea, but he didn't need to lie like that.

ScreamingMeMe · 21/07/2021 15:17

As sure as night follows day yourhairiswinterfire

All the TRAs will believe him and spread it anyway shedbuilder . Perhaps someone needs to sue him for libel.

Shedbuilder · 21/07/2021 14:54

On the subject of Man at Bus Stop, apparently he's claiming that his mother, Janet Paisley, was said to be anti-LGBTQ+ at yesterday's rally and he's up in arms about it.

Terven Gentleman has investigated and been through the video of the event and no one seems to have said anything of the sort. He clearly misheard what was said. But one does wonder how reliable his account of — well, anything, really — might be...

Why the hell does anyone still listen to Peter Tatchell??! He says children can consent to sex 🧐🤮

Melroses · 21/07/2021 13:18

I'd like to say that I can't believe that the Scottish Govt is wasting money on a steering group about who gets to use rainbows.

terryleather · 21/07/2021 13:00

The new rainbow flag explained...

#WomenWontWheesht
FloralBunting · 21/07/2021 12:03

Yes, it's tres inclusive to suggest that people of colour and people who either do or don't conform to stereotypes (depending on their chosen designation under the T umbrella) aren't covered by a rainbow, literally a visual of the entire spectrum of colours.

People, if you looked at the rainbow flag and thought it wasn't for black people or people who rejected gender rules, the problem might be you.

ScreamingMeMe · 21/07/2021 11:37

Exactly, the Pride flag has that new bit, doesn't it? It's not just the regular rainbow.
