I'm glad she's said this. It's despicable that TRA's subjected children to this in the first instance but even more so that they double down to blame the woman they targeted.

Liam Fox, the Tory MP has tweeted support for JKR, Labour MPs apart from Rosie Duffield are such a let down. Agree with those asking where the vocal celebrities are, especially those celebrities who spout their feminist credentials.
All too busy telling rape gags as proof that nothing is off limits for comedy. (Particularly tiresome Christmas secular event in which one after another of these secular genii decided to assert their credentials in this way.)

A good article in the Sun (words I thought I would never say).

And Glinner is absolutely right to call out other celebrities on this. People like Caitlin Moran who I admire but has gone down in my estimation as her silence is deafening despite writing books about being a woman.

And I don’t buy this career suicide argument. I’m a nobody and I’ve raised this with my employer (not anon, in my name) because sitting on the fence isn’t an option anymore. Because JKR has shone so much sunlight on this, at great personal sacrifice to her name and sanity I imagine.

Well, whoever it was - the person who made a pipebomb threat is an ally of yours.

Words are literal violence - unless they contain an actual mention of violence, in which case they are to be interpreted as a jolly jape or understandable exuberance of expression in a hyper-polarised social media environment.

It's not a death threat until a woman ties a few ribbons around it or slaps on a sticker of a dictionary definition though.

RIP hashtags - meh.
Porn images - what do you expect, keep your mouth shut.
Rape threats - you shouldn't own the device the threat was sent on then, only got yourself to blame.
Actually penis - your fault for looking.
Dildo monkey - children's entertainment.
Pipe bomb threat - just a frivolous joke, don't you have a sense of humour?
Ribbons, stickers and book advertisements - actual violence.
