Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Does anyone ever wonder how this will end?

I can see three scenarios.

 1. women lose and we end up living in some nightmarish high tec version of ancient Rome, where woman and children is a sub human resource to be exploited in anyway a man wants at an given moment.
 2. the mass hysteria quietly dies down and every kind of pretents this was never a thing (and in fact it was only those nasty feminists making a fuss that caused all this misunderstanding in the first place).
 3. due to the sheer insanity of gender idology, society slowly starts to listen to women and the horror of the unfairness wakes everyone up to womans humanity and gender stereotypes and finally totally abandoned and we all live happly ever after.
@Keepemguessing
There is nothing factually wrong in what I said and I will continue to use 'transwomen'.

You will continue to be a transphobic bigot, I know. And that's why trans people will continue to oppose you.
You know you can't control and correct ALL the things you find offensive. You can't change every word in the language that offends you and you can't control what people think. Most people don't really believe that men can become women, but they'll feel sympathy for and be supportive of people who they perceive to be vulnerable. I don't doubt that there are people who believe they are the opposite sex, but they can't force me to believe that too. The sooner you let go of trying to control things you can't (like other people's thoughts) you may find yourself calmer and happier.

NeonDreams · 16/07/2021 14:16

It was an own goal by Panda alright. I've noticed they all lose control like that when facts get in their way of their brainwashing agenda.

mollythemeerkat · 16/07/2021 14:15

treating people who disagree with you with respect, and the understanding that people are entitled to have opinions that differ from yours, and the world will still turn.
You could be quoting my dad! He was a great one for how important it was to have the ability to have a civilised disagreement and at least listen to the other side. Hope I`ve carried that with me.

NeonDreams · 16/07/2021 14:15

@Imasoulman

I must have missed some deleted posts, but it sounds like someone was objecting to the descriptive word "transwomen " ?

I don't understand the problem with that, it's news to me !!
I have happily been describing myself as such since " transsexual" was side lined.

However I also notice "sissy" may have been used ??
Now that is offensive!

Unfortunately filthy immoral scum like Panda is simply proof of what women have to go through, and why women on here react harshly to men even male allies. Men like Panda have no moral fibre or decency in their body. So they lash out when they are soundly defeated and lose the argument. It is VINTAGE tra m.o.
PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 14:06

"Sissy/Cissy" porn soaked nonsense.

You will need to ask CuriousPanda why they chose such a vile word
DickKerrLadies · 16/07/2021 14:01

Is that another word redefinition? Does bigot now no longer mean 'intolerant of the opinions of others' (sounds familiar) and now means 'person who refuses to do what I say'?

Gosh, it is hard to keep up.

Hundreds and hundreds of posts over multiple threads of women explaining their position to Panda and in the end all we get is variations from "it would be much easier if you just agreed unconditionally with me" to "I'm not going to listen to your opinions because I don't want to, you bigots".

As always, very illuminating to read your responses Panda. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to outline your position as I think it's very helpful.

Etorhi · 16/07/2021 13:59

In the absence of logical reasoned debate it's always best to resort to temper tantrums and insults. It a winner every time.👍 🐼

Sophoclesthefox · 16/07/2021 13:57

If “cis” is merely descriptive and not offensive, how can it be repurposed into an insult when Panda wants?

Huh. Might be time for a rest, Panda, you’ve had a lot of latitude here, but name calling won’t get you anywhere.

And for those who feel that things will improve when the oldies die out, I’m curious as to what you think might happen when your beliefs are the ones being found wanting by the next generation. I bet you’ll change your tune about wishing death on people who have unfashionable opinions then, you nanas.

I’ll tell you what never goes out of style: an enquiring mind, a willingness to believe in positive intent, treating people who disagree with you with respect, and the understanding that people are entitled to have opinions that differ from yours, and the world will still turn…

FloralBunting · 16/07/2021 13:48

Funniest self own meltdown in a while.

I particularly enjoyed the phrase used in the build up which was something like 'If you just agreed woth me that woman and man don't mean anything, everything would be fine'.

The argument that persuades us all, that one. Compelling.🤣

Enough4me · 16/07/2021 13:48

They will come for the word female next.

What a weird world where we will have 'males and fe/males', because we know that men will be able to keep the word male just as they have kept the word man...female women know your place.

Megasausagehead · 16/07/2021 13:24

If sex didn't exist, separate from gender, there would be no transwomen. None.

Transwomen are equal but entirely separate to women by sex (a protected characteristic).

Neither is superior. Neither gets to encroach on the rights of the other.

Separate safe spaces are needed and deserved.

Blibbyblobby · 16/07/2021 13:22

@Faceicle

Panda's posting style is quite distinctive. I have no idea why panda has turned up to bother mumsnet but panda seems quite unsettled despite the regular assertion of lols. I'm sorry for you panda, mate. I really am.
Interesting I thought that Panda seemed to know about the thread post limit despite only turning up recently.
RedDogsBeg · 16/07/2021 13:16

CuriousPanda Cry about it, cissy.

Interesting choice of slur, but as always failing to win the argument or provide coherent, provable, evidence always, always brings out the rage and abuse.

I know this post and the post before it are getting deleted, but honestly, I've tried being civil with you people, only for you to deflect with disingenuous word games and repeatedly misgender trans women.

you people, lovely. You have not been civil at all, all your posts hide a barely concealed rage that we don't agree with you and will not submit to your demands and invariably you then boil over and throw around the slurs, insults and abuse, you simply can't handle disagreement. No-one is 'misgendering' transwomen they are stating biological fact and reality.

Cis is also not a slur, it's a simple adjective, but again, you just hate trans people so much that you can't allow them any pretense of equality and normalcy. Like a homophobic bigot saying straight? it's just called being normal rather than a freak

Cis is not an adjective it is a prefix that you and others have decided arbitrarily to apply to the sex category of women in order to make women a sub set of their own sex category, we don't and won't accept it, if you can't handle that, which obviously you can't as you seem to believe that your word is law, tough.

You can't show basic compassion, respect, and consideration, so why the fuck should I have any for you?

That sentence applies to you and only you, you have no basic compassion, respect or consideration for women.

You cannot stand people disagreeing with you or refusing to submit to your demands, your whole ideology is totalitarian, you are determined to enforce and compel others to comply with it. I won't and I give not a flying fuck what you think of me or call me for not doing so.

ArabellaScott · 16/07/2021 13:15

@Marmaladee

4 please. End all this transphobia. Luckily it's mostly old people who read the daily Mail and like Piers Morgan so they'll die out
Sorry, hold on, are you actually being gleeful here at the prospect of people who hold differing views from yourself dying?

And you are certain that you are - let me just check- on the right side of history?

Do you think it's nice to wish death on people because they read a newspaper you dislike? Really?

Megasausagehead · 16/07/2021 13:14

Woweee

Sissy is such a...transphobic slur.

Shocking.

Naughty Panda, picking on those dastardly women.

PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 13:13

"WOMEN SHUT UUUUUUUUPPP. STOP TALKING TO EACH OTHER!!!"

No.

Faceicle · 16/07/2021 13:11

PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 13:11

"Women just won't shut up. Wahhh"

That's quite correct.

BatmansBat · 16/07/2021 13:07

That escalated quickly….

joolzfromyork · 16/07/2021 13:04

@CuriousPanda

Now now chuck ...
if you can't play nicely ... better not to play at all

(and talking to people in that manner just makes them less likely to engage respectfully with people like me ... so yeah ... just don't do it 'k?)

Skybluepinkgiraffe · 16/07/2021 13:04

Quite honestly, I think climate change is likely to make us extinct if we don't get on to that in a meaningful way, and the trans/GC debate will become irrelevant.
But otherwise, I imagine that the light that is now being shone on these issues, given that it's now being discussed in mainstream news, will make more average folk see what's going on.
Hopefully we can live with trans people living their lives without discrimination, and women retaining their safe spaces.
I'm not sure the very aggressive TRAs are furthering their cause, and that'll be their undoing.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 16/07/2021 13:02

If someone wants to believe something then that is on them.

What they shouldn’t do is to try and foist that belief on others.

Waitwhat23 · 16/07/2021 13:01

You've not been civil at any point. You have peddled lies without a basis in evidence, insisted that we not be allowed to use the words and terminology used by society historically and correctly to describe ourselves, instead insist that we use invented terminology which we have told you is insulting, and now you've moved on to swearing at the people on here because we won't capitulate to your nonsense.

Women are saying no. You can stamp your feet and have a tantrum as much as you like but we are saying no.
