Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Does anyone ever wonder how this will end?

I can see three scenarios.

  1. women lose and we end up living in some nightmarish high tec version of ancient Rome, where woman and children is a sub human resource to be exploited in anyway a man wants at an given moment.
  2. the mass hysteria quietly dies down and every kind of pretents this was never a thing (and in fact it was only those nasty feminists making a fuss that caused all this misunderstanding in the first place).
  3. due to the sheer insanity of gender idology, society slowly starts to listen to women and the horror of the unfairness wakes everyone up to womans humanity and gender stereotypes and finally totally abandoned and we all live happly ever after.

In some fundamental Christian groups in the USA. Apart from the obvious stuff (abortion etc)...

Child marriage is practiced often to legitimise girls being sexually abused by older men resulting in pregnancy.

In the more closed communities mass sexual abuse of women and girls has been uncovered more than once.

Feminist, GC, whatever. That's not the sort of thing women in general are very keen on.

I'm very unclear on why USA religious right types would care about what goes on in a country 1000s of miles away. And how they would organise getting UK women posting what they want them to say, and how they would know who to recruit etc.

It does piss on certain peoples chips when women gather.

They have to believe, or state, a conclave of men are puliing their strings.

The reality is, men are funding physical and psychological violence in many theatres.

Including here.

I think my favourite bit about this whole weird US fundie funding is that ridiculous Irish Tweeter (was he a comedian or something? Can't recall, don't much care) took a video of some 'GC' people laughing and mocking the accusation and tried to make out that they were admitting it was true.

He's probably screenshotting this bit of the thread now so he can spin a tale about a poor girl called Sindy who was sent to my house in a box because I angered my Russian paymasters or something.

Well, he would be if Glinner was here so he could compare willy sizes or something. He probably won't bother unless there's a man about the place. They do love a pissing contest, don't they?

RedDogsBeg · 16/07/2021 19:45

I was ever so excited when I heard we were being funded not only by the American Christian Right but the Russians as well!!! I set up a special account and everything but it seems someone was being ever so mean raising my hopes and playing a joke on me 'cos I've not received anything and I've got lots and lots of things on my list of things to spend all this funding on. It's just not fair, foot-stamp.

DaisiesandButtercups · 16/07/2021 19:18

Steady on ladies, we don’t want the thread to moved to Telly Addicts or wherever Eurovision discussion is acceptable. Glitterball maybe it has its very own naughty step Hmm

NiceGerbil · 16/07/2021 18:53

The Russian song at Eurovision was great.

PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 18:40

Swopsies. Love it.

PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 18:39

Have got Clubcard vouchers going spare. Wipe your tears.

We may have lost out on free wifeys. But FandF and Fig wotzit will do us right

FloralBunting · 16/07/2021 18:38

I can send you mine. She's still in the box.

PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 18:36

I missed out on a free wife?!

PurpleHoodie · 16/07/2021 18:34

I think that the US political landscape doesn’t translate to the UK as well as some posters think.

They do persist though.

Tedious wazzocks.

FloralBunting · 16/07/2021 18:32

Frankly I was disappointed with the free wife. When she arrived, she turned out to be a Sindy doll with pubes drawn on in faded blue felt tip. This is not what the international cabal promised me for my loyalty.
The US evangelical money was a tad more useful, but only because the boy needed new trainers that week and I'd not got enough clubcard vouchers to cover them. As for the Russians, I voted for them in Eurovision because the song made me cry in feminist. I suspect this means I've been cut loose.

DaisiesandButtercups · 16/07/2021 17:58

We haven’t been outed as Russian bots for ages, those were the days eh, paid by the Russians and the US Christian Right. Double agents. Oh not forgetting the International Lesbians who send out free wives. It really is very lucrative, I have given up my day job Wink

NiceGerbil · 16/07/2021 17:12

Well I can think of one religious anti abortion trans identified male who delivers sessions to the NHS on trans inclusion...

Can't remember if they ID as a woman or non binary hence the clumsy wording.

NiceGerbil · 16/07/2021 17:08

This American Christian right wing funded business is so risible I wonder why they keep at it.

It's so far off the mark for me at least as being accused of being a space lizard the height of a skyscraper who lives in an enormous toadstool on Mars.

FloralBunting · 16/07/2021 17:07

And, I might add, to coin a phrase 'Right wing Christian women are women'. (Gaps necessary for sense there)

Etorhi · 16/07/2021 16:59

I saw someone accuse women here of being right wing, fundamentalist Christians and anti-abortion

Yes because women who have the audacity to want to protect their safeguards and spaces from men be all of those things. Trans ideology says so. 👍

RedDogsBeg · 16/07/2021 16:42

@Wildgarlicpesto

I imagine Panda has been sent on a mumsnet "holiday" to think about things after all those deletions.
One would hope so, GC posters have been sent on permanent holiday from MN for far less delete worthy posts.

FloralBunting · 16/07/2021 16:29

Some of us used to be fundamentalist anti-abortion Christians and by knowing and listening to left wing socialist materialist feminists we actually completely changed our minds on abortion, capitalist structures, and women's rights.

Mind fuck, eh? That you can listen, learn and grow in your perspective? Before you have to be burned on the pyre? Incredible stuff.

BatmansBat · 16/07/2021 16:16

Sonarl · 16/07/2021 16:12

Dammit! missed it while out having lunch! What happened? A massive meltdown because a load of women refuse to comply with what a random person chooses to believe? And why was I deleted for NOT using the banned c word? Also I've just asked a friend I know who is a post-op transwomen and she said she is absolutely fine with being described as a transwoman not a trans woman and is fine with being male - so not everyone subscribes to the same believes, even outside of the middle-aged (without exception), far right, Mail-reading, Christian fundamentalist women of the the UK on MN. Grin

Skybluepinkgiraffe · 16/07/2021 16:11

I also didn't know about the trans woman/transwoman thing.

I appreciate the poster who said 'transwomen are a subset of men'.

FloralBunting · 16/07/2021 16:11

It's always an education, yes. You'll note who is pleading for the posts to be left up, too. It always serves us when the viciousness is laid bare. Which, of course, was what #NoDebate was all about.
