It would definitely be better if those under the trans umbrella were given more definitive names depending on exactly what trans means in their particular case rather than the all encompassing "trans"

I used to see labels as a good thing man , woman , black , white - but now I see them as boxes to put us in. I long for the day where we see each other as people rather then the Headteacher is a ‘woman’ or it’s great she’s openly gay etc that the Headteacher is just seen as a fantastic HT.

Of course, the existence of detransistioners puts a spanner in the works of language gaurdians.

But they've let the sexist slur "cis" stand a lot these days. They seemingly have changed their terms.

Ergo: "Trans identified male" " Trans identified female" is now acceptable to them.

How about the old word we used to use, back in the day, before all this modern stuff - transvestite? It describes the male, middle-aged, middle class, white AGP lot perfectly.

It doesn't make sense. When it comes to some stuff it's important to be recognised as women no different in any way-twaw.
But other times the trans ID is important.

End result- it is discrimination for stuff for female people to have anything at all just for us. Even though we are the largest oppressed group on the planet, through history and all over the world.

While both stuff for women and stuff for trans people is open to tw.

Essentially we lose any way to name ourselves as a group which is massive.

Meanwhile tw use the ID of woman or trans depending on what they are doing.

I'd only suggest the word 'real' to be added when it's needed to be really clear to members of the public who may be confused and when transwoman is also used; to be clear for prisons, sports, dating, child protection, healtcare & pregnancy when there is a need for space and services for 'real' women. In all other general situations woman should work as the majority understand that.

The word real would be quicker than saying biologically female.

Real women is awful.

Men have always said she's not a real woman/ proper women/ lady based on their opinions.

I'd say women and transwomen is fine.

Given that (transwomen in the things I've seen) are in involved in both women's groups etc and trans ones.

There is a better word than cis, the word 'real'. I don't appreciate ciswoman and transwoman, but I'd accept real woman and transwoman.

Female prisons, female sports, female dating apps = real women.
