What are all the liberal celebs so quiet now at the spa?

So we all knew that a man would get his cock out in front of women and little girls in a changing room at some point. And we would be told that the toddlers should just get over their bigotry.

Anyway, I was wondering why we haven't heard from all the slebs who have be parroting the TWAW line. Has anyone heard? Has anyone come out and and defended this brave penis? (Which I bet was a little bit hard as it sat exposing itself to a changing room full of women and little girls.)

Emma Watson? Sarah Silverman? Daniel Radcliffe? Why so quiet?

I listen to a few podcasts from comedians based in LA and I am always saddened to hear the casual way that LA millennials have decided that JKR is now toxic. Haven't heard anything about this yet from all of them.

Or am I being unfair?

What do you believe was the sexual assault? I watched the video and I don't recall anything about contact being made?

Offences Against The Person Act:
An assault is any act (and not mere omission to act) by which a person intentionally or recklessly causes another to suffer or apprehend immediate unlawful violence.
@moreofthisagain no need for contact to actually happen.

TedImgoingmad · 05/07/2021 16:01

I can see your point, although I don’t find her attractive in the slightest, the shit she spouts makes her seem very ugly to me (I’m bitter after she attacked ‘thin women’ and then deleted it but never fucking apologised.)

The fat acceptance cult is eerily similar to TR activism, with its gas lighting, science free, heretic bullying formula. I'm not surprised JJ is heavily involved in both.

ScreamingMeMe · 05/07/2021 15:54

@HecatesCatsInFancyHats

I think the new party line will be that right-minded, progressive women don't mind being exposed to penises without their consent.
There's a word for that. Begins with a g.
RedDogsBeg · 05/07/2021 15:51

No-one with a shred of decency supports the view that a fully intact male should be naked in a hot tub of a commercial spa with an equally naked 9 year old girl, no-one. This is why those that do support this view resort to violence as at the Spa protests, discrediting of the woman who posted the video complaint, dismissal of the evidence of said video, changing the topic under discussion, as per threads on the subject on here. Their argument is unwinnable and they know it so they have to deflect and shut it down at all costs.

GromblesofGrimbledon · 05/07/2021 15:38

Apologies to @FijiCavanaugh if I've picked you up wrong. I can only see people quoting the original post in response to me, I can't see whoever posted it.

Whoever called me a right wing extremist needs to get a grip.

It's awfully hard to follow the argument when the offending poster has been deleted so many times. I suppose with that many deletions they won't be here for much longer anyway.

If they're still around for the time being perhaps they'd like to clarify why they think I'm a right wing extremist.

@yeahbutnaw , perhaps you can shed light on this?

ScreamingMeMe · 05/07/2021 15:38

I'm going to need timestamps for the "number of women complaining at the same time" because that's not in the video I watched. I did see her encourage other people to ask for a refund though.

The other woman was already at the counter asking for her money back. The main woman was saying "Yes, you get your money back" in agreement.

There were other women and girls in their robes at the side.

Honestly, this is really desperate stuff, as are your attempts to say we're also right wing/right wing adjacent yeahbutnaw

Anything but condemn someone flashing their penis and testicles at women and girls, huh. Ye gods...

@Ereshkigalangcleg

It wouldn't enter the head of any decent, innocent man to go into any area where women and girls are in a state of undress be that toilets, changing rooms or a naked spa, they wouldn't dream of violating the safety, privacy, dignity and comfort of women and girls.

And everyone knows this, even hypocritical faux feminist sellouts like Penny and Sarkeesian. Especially the sad little men on Twitter commenting on this issue. Decent men do not shit all over the privacy and dignity of women and girls. Unfortunately there are a lot of men who aren't decent men.

Yup, it used to be that you had to be a multi millionaire and buy a beauty pageant before a man felt 'entitled' to enter the woman's changing area, like Trump did.

Now thanks to the 'progressive' (deeply regressive) left enabled by Joe Biden absolutely any man can if he wants.

I remember my youth when I would have thought it was the right who were sexist and the left who were on the side of women. My adult years have proved me wrong on that.

No decent, innocent man would get his genitals out in front of women and little girls. And no decent person who genuinely cares about women and girls and understands safeguarding would defend this behaviour

This this this. Fuck all the gaslighting. It's not ok.

Yes, this all day long.

moreofthisagain · 05/07/2021 14:58

@Datun

It is quite interesting how many people want to deny it's happened, though. They clearly think it's awful PR.

Which I don't really get, to be honest. It is an inbuilt feature of the entire issue. It's not going away.

Quite. Their ideology is based slogans and exhortations not messy reality, which they just have no mechanisms or arguments to deal with.
Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/07/2021 14:57

I'll try again, without pressing post too soon:

I think all women and girls, whatever their religious or political views are entitled to expect privacy and dignity, and not having to see penises in women's spaces. I think anyone implying or suggesting that women don't have these rights because they inconvenience males is a misogynist. Hope that helps, yeahbutnaw.

waterlego · 05/07/2021 14:54

It isn’t a right-wing, left-wing thing. TRAs use this as a distraction tactic. They’re just trying to shame the many left-wing/left-leaning GC women.

From what I’ve heard about this woman’s Social Media (the woman who made the complaint), I probably wouldn’t agree with her on most issues. I’m an atheist, pro-choice, not homophobic etc. This woman may have very different motivations to me when it comes to objecting about a male body in the women’s facilities. But none of that changes the fact that I agree with her stance on this issue. If she had been complaining about a lesbian or a Jewish woman using the facilities, I’d be joining a chorus of other lefties telling her to get stuffed. But she complained about a male in the facilities, and she is right.

As a GC person on Twitter, I sometimes follow other GC accounts and then unfollow when I realise I’ve followed someone who is homophobic/racist/a fan of Trump. Luckily there are plenty of GC people I can follow who are on my wavelength.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/07/2021 14:54

I think all women and girls, whatever their religious or political views are entail

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/07/2021 14:51

The way all of this ideology has shown the deep deep-rooted cultural misogyny genuinely upsets me.

None of them meant any of that Me Too posturing.

They didn't, and yes, this issue has done more to expose the misogyny of so many people, and of society in general, than any other.

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants Thank you for pointing out the error of my ways. hmm I stand reprimanded. As an aside, is that seriously all you took from my post? Not the relevant bit? Too focused on showing how clever you are compared to me? Point scoring extravaganza. hmm

WTF? I was curious as to how you reached a conclusion that a word originating in the struggles of my ancestors was male centric. Especially when women were very central in the first 'boycotting' literally starting it by refusing the eviction notices and chasing away the officer serving them. I'm not more clever than you, just aware of my own people's history and I thought you may have had a take on it that I wasn't aware of, so I asked. Every school child in Ireland learns about this but I know as an adult that our history curriculum is often simplified to present certain views or to the point of being incorrect. Or maybe you objected to (the man) Charles Boycott having his name end up central to this kind of action?

The history of things matter. We have a situation on this thread alone where a poster is participating in a really vulgar attempt to re-write the history of what happened in the Wi Spa. In an attempt to belittle and dismiss the situation and the people who are upset by it. Making claims that a word is male-centric for no clear reason suggests that maybe you've read that claim somewhere which means that at some point someone made this claim out of nowhere and it got repeated enough times that a reasonable number of people accepted it as a fact. And that's what people like those who have decided to spread the 'wi spa never happened' nonsense count on. They want to repeat unsubstantiated claims enough to make enough people just believe them. So when someone makes claims that make you question, you should question them. And if you make an unsubstantiated claim, attacking a person who maybe knows more about it than you and questions your claims, is a pretty good way of propagating a culture where mistruths are accepted at face value.

"It is obvious , that in California ,at least, women going to spas where it is required that they, strip off, should expect that they might be confronted with naked males and that there is nothing they can do about it, with the exception of leaving the premises."

Sadly it is not just California.

Yes agree. It fits in with the cool-girl, ‘no king-shaming’ schtick.
FloralBunting · 05/07/2021 14:43

The only thing harming LGB, and probably T people is nasty people claiming to represent us and saying that it's no big deal to show a cock and balls to a child.
I suspect that's slowly dawning on some of the arseholes who like to shit all over lesbians in service of the corporate rainbow Q-slur shit, which is why we're seeing dimwit hets like Penny claim the 9 year old was at fault for looking, and people who understand what happens when lesbians and gays get tied in with grown ass perverts and have chosen to claim this doesn't happen.

Now me, I can see clear it does and has happened, and so the answer is for LGB people to state very clearly that this is nothing to do with LGB sexuality, and we reject it because it's creepy and wrong. Easy really. Unless you just love all that progress pride flag branding too much, I guess. Then you have to lie or be open about being fine with predatory red flags.

Being exposed to penises without their consent in non penis environments like the workplace = #metoo

Being exposed to penises without their consent in penis friendly environments like female changing rooms = #bekind

ifIwerenotanandroid · 05/07/2021 14:41

Potholes Then surely the answer is, as someone said about toilets, for those women to use the men's area of the spa/whatever, then all the males can use the men's area too, because anyone trans will be validated & protected by the progressive women being there. It's not discriminatory because all the progressives will be in together, trans being progressive, as we're so often told.

And women & children who are old-fashioned enough to want to luxuriate in a male-free (& progressive-free) space can do so in the women's section.

I'd call that a win-win situation. I don't see how anyone could reasonably object. Grin
