Barbecue at the far end of the garden's fired up beautifully, so there will be cheeseburgers soon for them as likes. And red pepper, tomato, garlic, basil & mozzarella parcel thingies.
They sound lovely - those and the prawns.

I've just finished my last meeting for today so a little downtime with some food and in this lovely atmosphere will set up up for the rest of the work that I need to do.

Ooh, lovely, ta! But you'd better drive the prawns: I've murdered them before now, and that would be a sad waste.

Actually, the barbie might be a bit superfluous: lost my temper properly earlier for the first time in years and am still incandescent. Not fumming, though Grin

I just had a lightbulb moment, after being stumped since yesterday. Was reading the thread about the WI and couldn't for the life of me thing who the person on the cover reminded me of. It's just come to me. Martin Jarvis! It's taking longer and longer to recall things (thank you peri-menopause), so I'm going to have a drinkie and some nibbles to celebrate. Cin cin. 🍹

Excellent- thank you, Embarrassing. Might whip up a batch this weekend. I was all prepared to feel a bit foolish if you'd replied that the biscotti were as virtual as the Bluestocking and you'd never made a real biscotto in your life. Grin

Yeah I was picturing some sort of sniper / hitman arrangement for a couple of seconds which was a bit confusing!

I was thinking more along the lines of a trip to the zoo.

I may have inadvertently revealed too much of my personality there then! Blush ~hides murderous tendancies~

Those biscotti are very moreish. Are they easy to make, Embarrassing?
These pistachio ones are probably the easiest recipe I make and the most popular.

I also make the almond ones linked from there (I own the same book) and put some bruised anise seeds in them which is an outstanding combination.

I do a more familiar dipping one based on a BBC recipe but I faff about with it a lot to make sure that the fruit doesn't end up on the outside and burn. Very popular but I can't pretend that it isn't time consuming to make sure absolutely no fruit is exposed.

Just took the littl'un out to the park and checked on my habadashivism - to find an Adult Human Female sticker added to my ribbon! Felt almost moved to tears. If it was anyone here, thank you! So good not to feel alone.

I got my thank you card from Sex Matters today for taking out a DD for them. Rather lovely. I'm a slightly sheen-eyed viper.

It's very good, @Waitwhat23, but does have a slight tendency to make the knees bend backward. None for the camel, then, by order.
I was introduced to it by the husband of another FWR poster, as it happens.
