Well after a quick wander around the board this evening I am in need of gin. Tapas to accompany it sounds just the ticket EmbarrassingAdmissions . But what is burnt cream might I ask?

Raymond Blanc's pain de campagne is a faithful.

Dan Lepard's sour cream loaf is perfect for sandwiches or for toasting.

I have various specialist high fibre, high protein, or seeded breads.

I've put up some doughs for croissants and danish pastries tomorrow.

This evening I shall be putting out the usual tapas bits - croquetas, stuffed peppers, grilled chorizo, tortilla, assortments of vegetables.

I might also have some burnt cream if it sets up.

One of these weekends, I ought to organise a vat of paella.

My arms are feeling like the proverbial limp celery stalks so I shall be taking this steadily.

Aww, as an eldest sister who was desperately, earnestly, fervently into various hopeless causes as a teen, I do feel for your DD1. I recall doing a pub collection for orang-utans once, it was quite surreal. I guess it's good that she is sticking up for her beliefs, mistaken as they may be. Smile
What do orang-utans drink in pubs, BTW? orang-squash?

Never been in the Blue Stocking before.
Slams swinging doors open on each side as behind her the tumbleweed, well, tumbles in the dust. Spurs clink and clunk as she stumps to the bar, leather chaps rubbing together. [Keep it clean, please, ladies. MN]. Summons barkeep with a toss of the head.
I'll have a Negroni sbagliato and some tarralli please, if that's not too much trouble.
Meanwhile hopes DH appears with a real one in the next couple of hours

I reckon broccoli toasties might be ok with copious amounts of cheese. My DD has been reading my Radical Notions. She has become terrifying. She wants me to get an undercut and stop wearing make up ..
Oddly enough, that was exactly the recipe. Not quite homeopathic quantities of broccoli - but it was @ 160g of grated cheese for 2 toasties.

I made one for DH as we had some roast broccoli. I stuck to a something that a Thai friend used to make - it involved chili crisp and pork floss in her case but I had a vegetarian version (the way you end up with these random ingredients at times).

Everyone else's was straightforward. Except there was no Branston's after the camel's intervention.
