Can start a thread in Sex and Gender, but not Feminist Chat. Why is that?

That would be rather like the biased surveys, which get an unwitting public to state they have no issue with trans women in women’s spaces.

It is hard not to feel that way. I hate that this board has gender and debate in the title.

I really don’t care about gender.

I really don’t want to ‘debate’ sex based rights and spaces and issues. I just want to discuss them with other women/feminists.

So, all that time which so many women put into constructively engaging with an idea which had been floated seemingly off the top of MNHQ’s head halfway through a thread about a totally different issue and in response we get …. Calling this section 'sex and gender debate' is all wrong. It's like an invitation to TRAs to come 'debate' the issues with feminists. Which is not what we are here for

That's exactly what MN seem to think we are, from the behaviour of some of the Twitter staff and Justine's tone in the response on SiteStuff.

It's like we're in a mixture of a freak shoe and boxing ring and they are inviting those who disagree with feminism to glove up for a fight.

"Roll up, roll up. Weve got some feminists here, feisty gals. Come and tear a strip off them. All contenders welcome. The more you hate feminists the better. You can call them names but they aren't allowed to speak back. Roll up, roll up"

There seems to be a degree of catch-22 about this. We'll let you post but only in sex/gender. Ha, you're posting in sex/gender so your feminist point must be anti trans!

This was one of the reasons people wanted it. When I say people I mean those who hate to the women of FWR, those people.

I’ve had a response to my concern re paying for a site that doesn’t recognise that women’s rights are part of feminism, asking me to bear with while they “take a look at the user feedback around the Feminism section.” They’ve also given me the link to the account section whereby I can buffer off if I want to. It’s not quite Ed from the Royal Academy, but…

I wonder in which form /forum the feedback will be explored?

Ps whoever said ‘kettled’ for what’s going on really hit the nail on the head.

They are looking for user feedback, are they?
