Wild Wanders (hiking group) Women only (but transwomen allowed)

Does anyone else find stuff like this so frustrating?

A women's group, made for women to hike together because obviously its not safe to meet up with random men to go hiking in a remote area.

But someone asks if it's trans inclusive and of course it is! Because TWAW!

I mean what is the point of making a group for women to be safe with each other if you allow biological men to attend?

One of our local groups was targeted like this. The organisers completely ignored it.

The person didn't ask again and nothing came of it. I remember one of the organisers saying privately that she knew a time-waster when she saw one and the group obviously didn't think the inquiry was a genuine request to join.

Anything women-only gets targeted by trans. It's about validation, boundary-crossing, being cossetted and waited on by women, and being the centre of attention or dominating member. If they can join menopause groups they will join this.

Indeed.

If they are transmen (female) inclusive, that's ok. I'd encourage it.

It's good for women to get out and exercise. Clears the head. Heals the body. Gets women especially, in touch with nature, and their own bodies.

If they said "yes of course it is" - are any transwomen actually going to come along? Or is it just a test? Because if they said no.....

Exactly. So any Tom, Dick or Harry can self identify as a woman, join and go ahead and join 6 women alone in the middle of nowhere. Great idea.

Yep! After a few years of this, I think there are usually one of 2 things going on

The first and most likely is that the women running the group haven’t really given it much thought. Although there is more sunlight, by and large most ppl are still pretty oblivious. When they’re asked about TW, they’ll be thinking of full surgery & hormones and beeee kind and who does it harm??

Or secondly they’re just keeping their heads down because they know full well what would happen if they said no. I mean it’s always struck me as very odd that no matter how small & niche a woman’s group is, someone will turn up to ask about TW. It’s almost as if TRA go looking for women’s groups to ask. I very much doubt in reality any TW actually want to come along, it’s just TRA policing every space just to make sure women were t thinking of having anything just for them…

That would stop me joining. Its not women only and they lack the ability to enforce boundaries; so how safe are you?
