The Royal Academy have removed Jess' work from their shop due to a handful of complaints that she's 'transphobic'. If you want to support Jess her website is here.

So sick of these utterly craven organisations. I hope she has a legal case against them for discrimination.

I hope the experience the RA is having and the amount of press coverage, will highlight to other organisations how it is better to investigate and use caution. Full throttle virtue signalling, is unwise, especially when RA actions seem to conflict with UK Law.

Just put in an order of lovely patches, and postcards, which I shall leave lying around strategic locations.

I would not have seen her work if she hadn't been removed from the RA shop so a big thankyou to the twats who complained.

Signed and bought one of her Heretic sewing patches and written to the RA - I used to be a friend, I visit and I've exhibited there. Felt so angry at first but now seeing the huge reaction, I'm starting to feel hope that in we are turning the tide against being silenced.

I note also that RA's daily doodle challenge hasn't been updated since the 16th.
Do you think Jake Garfield was sending a coded message, with his "Draw something you would think but not say", and has been cancelled Smile

I don't know who actually got off their arses and sent the emails. It could be that the eight people who did the emailing were UK-based, but the people chanting burn the witch "I think your partnership with Jess De Wahls is inappropriate" on Insta and twitter certainly weren't all from the UK. L
I am so sick of people casually accusing others of 'misinformation' and in particular of 'hate' when the people they are so gleefully taking down and so aggressively threatening have shown zero signs of hatred to anyone. This is yet more Taming of the Shrew style 'say the moon is the sun or I will torture you' bullying where the bully accuses their innocent victim of what they are actually doing in plain sight.

I went on the RA site and made my feelings known via the Contact Us section

hopefully i'm one of thousands flooding the site telling them what they think of this sinister censorship - just like with Twitter etc paedophiles have more rights that women
