"Pride Month is all about celebrating love and friendship, and how far we've come in terms of the gay rights movement.

When it comes to explaining Pride to your child, it's best to make sure you understand its history, the facts and keep it as simple as possible. Here's our book list of recommended reads to help you and your little one aged 0-5 celebrate Pride."

@merrymouse, can't find any more details than this, but this review really makes me think it's as bad as you were anticipating. Just dreadful. (Sorry for photo of my phone - the app won't let me just upload a photo from my camera roll).

I really want to know how they explained the difference between girl teddies and boy teddies in a way that wasn't either sexist or completely confusing.

I have a couple of them on our bookshelf, but I wouldn't include the Teddy one.
Nor do I like the sound of Uncle Bobby's Wedding. Why should a child worry about not being an adult's "special person" any more because he's getting married?

Why this? Genuine question. Aren’t children these days brought up knowing that uncle Fred is gay and the next door neighbours are a same sex couple (and nag aunty Jane ‘why aren’t your and aunty Mary married yet? - thanks DS)?

I remember a book in the school library corner when I was in Primary 2 about a kid with two (gay) dads. And this was in the mid 70s.
