I'm really riled up after reading about the police in Kirkcaldy. twitter.com/KirkcaldyPolice?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

I've seen some online but they are over £1 each. Any suggestions please

Red Bubble also has some fab stickers.

GlassBoxSpectacular · 23/05/2021 23:37

I am assuming it was some kind of hate speech

Well, given that “only women menstruate” and “women don’t have penises” are ‘hate speech’, you’ve probably made the correct assumption.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 23/05/2021 23:19

You can use them, but they won't necessarily display to other users. I can't see the emojis that iPhone users have employed, because I don't have and can't afford an iPhone.

Waitwhat23 · 23/05/2021 20:41

I can't believe I didn't realise you could use the emojis on your own phone keyboard, I thought you could only use the emojis from the button below the comment box Blush

That's embarrassing! 😂 Anyway, thank you ladies ☀️🌝🌞☀️🌝🌞

☀️🔆🌞🌅🌥🌤🌄 Every single sun emoji I can find!

Here you go ☀️ 🌞 ☀️🌞☀️🌞☀️🌞☀️🌞

Ah, this has made my day. In the Scotsman no less. I really wish there was a sun emoji on here www.scotsman.com/news/people/kirkcaldy-police-face-social-media-backlash-after-deleting-tweet-investigating-stickers-which-read-women-wont-wheesht-3247035

Here is what happened. Absolutely ridiculous! Hate crime!

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 23/05/2021 20:20

As someone has replied in the Twitter thread, Fife police's tweet has just drawn more publicity to this, and is making them look really stupid.

Waitwhat23 · 23/05/2021 18:57

I'm just enjoying the comments on the link above, which shows that whatever trans activists think, the general public are not behind the idea that women's rights should be dismantled and are starting to wake up to the ridiculousness of gender ideology. It doesn't do well under a spotlight - let's make sure that there's lots of light.

Identity is not reality, no man is ever or will ever be an adult human female.

MishyJDI · 23/05/2021 15:50

@JustKeep

It’s the stickers that say “woman = adult human female”. Literally a dictionary definition of the word woman. Super controversial. Apparently.
I don't know it is. When I run into TRAs they all seem to identify as Adult Human Female or Male, depending on their individual identity, so laugh at the stickers. Though they do seem to get upset that they are a dog whistle for intolerance, so you can successfully wind them up with them if that is your calling in life.
Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 23/05/2021 13:10

Ooh I love that sticker waitwhat!
Wonder if anyone will sell them I'm in Fife next week & have only got my "woman" ones....

Posie seems to have upped her sticker game too - does anyone know where the QR code ones direct to?

Waitwhat23 · 23/05/2021 12:39

Oh look, what a surprise mobile.twitter.com/FifeFreePressEd/status/1396211616295882757

I was asked to complete a survey with the NHS recently they were again conflating sex and gender. I needed those stickers!

Justhadathought · 22/05/2021 21:13

Don't forget that all it took was for one tiny, removable sticker, stuck to an Anthony Gormley figure, on Crosby Beach, Liverpool, for the city's mayor to declare a 'hate crime', and that the police should arrest those responsible.

What it said : " Women do not have penises" ( carefully positioned just above Gormley's own)

PopperUppleton · 22/05/2021 20:18

I had a sheet of excellent stickers once. They said "Peel off and stick" Grin

ScreamingMeMe · 22/05/2021 19:51

I really want some "Down with this sort of thing" and "Careful now" stickers. I would blitz Kirkcaldy with them Smile

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2021 19:12

Quote from twitter.

^“Police Scotland are conducting a survey to elicit public views of operational policing.
They say, "Public feedback has driven positive changes to operational policing across Scotland during the most challenging of times".^

You might like to express your views.

@SudokuMania

The good folk of Kirkcaldy should inundate Fife council with reports of stickers of any nature all over the town. Perhaps call 101 too as requested in the original tweet. May be a good way to get the place cleaned up and looking smart.
Yep, I'm sure there are some pro and anti indy ones still left. Not to mention the Brexit ones.

Waitwhat23 · 22/05/2021 16:46

The folk in Kirkcaldy certainly seem to think that's its likely to be a Women's Rights sticker - mobile.twitter.com/KirkcaldyPolice/status/1395752661375463426

Given the vague tweet by the Police which still hasn't been clarified and the current push by the Government and Police in Scotland to silence women's voices, those of us in Scotland will be able to come to some (almost certainly correct) conclusions.

Justhadathought · 22/05/2021 16:44

You can get a whole book or sheet of your own made up just for a few pounds. Just pop down to your local print shop with a template.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2021 16:40

Well, it's been over 24 hours since the original tweet, and the force social media person hasn't rushed back on to clarify that it was something much worse than a dictionary definition.

Someone round my area ( not me!) has been going round sticking up homemade stickers to lamp-posts saying that covid is a lie. Should I bother police about that? They're definitely "controversial". I just roll my eyes at them on the school run.
