Lots of minorities exist but it doesn't mean schools need to distribute newsletters detailing a dangerous practice.

I mean why doesn't the next newsletter inform students on how to iron their breasts in accordance with the practices in some parts of Africa? That's considered gender-based violence according to many organisations. It's not too different.

Why is breast ironing a reportable safeguarding issue yet breast binding isn't? What's the difference?

Don't worry about the conservatives on sites like this. It's nothing new - years ago there was this character called Mary Whitehouse who was exactly the same - look her up, she's hilarious. So, every generation has to deal with prudish conservatives running around with their hair on fire because someone told a teenager how to have sex safely. Funny thing is how they get so exercised about binding being dangerous and then completely explode if someone mentions how to do it safely. Ignore them, and even more importantly, never become them

So you're more than happy for 11 year old girls to be directed to sites that promote dangerous sexual practices, when they are far to young to even be considering having sex full stop. And don’t even think about replying that 11 year old girls are having sex left right and centre, because thats not true. An 11 year old girl may be very petite - some at my school are around 4’ 6’ and around a size 4. If a male (or indeed another female) attempted to ‘fist’ them it would cause told damage. But you're OK with them being exposed to such a dangerous practice? You think it’s only ‘conservative’ women of a certain age that think this is wrong?

There is no quick fix to such issues. You certainly don’t do it my physical discomfort/harm.

And minimising safeguarding concerns by accusing people of being prudish or conservative is a massive red flag. What's your agenda here? Why are you supporting the grooming of children.

This is exactly what I'm talking about in my earlier post. Adult strangers telling teenage girls that the only reason grown ups would complain that they're being directed to sites about breast binding, chemsex and fisting is because they're latter day Mary Whitehouses. This is plain sight you know that right? Breaking down boundaries.

And maybe do a cordless bungee jump safely? I hear a bunch of conservative prudes are saying it's dangerous to bungee jump without a cord but what do they know? Bigots.

Btw @shizuku, since you apparently know how to breast bind safely, could you also let me know the best way to vomit after meals and self-harm safely? I'd be SO grateful.

@Shizuku where do you get off assuming my political identity? How do you know whether I - or any other of the posters on this board - identify as conservative or even Marxist? That's literal violence. Educate yourself. Etc etc.

A great deal of the newsletter (that Ive seen) is rooted in Queer theory ideology. This seeks to remove and disrupt the categories of female/male, child/adult and sexual orientations. The removal of boundaries which inform Safeguarding principles.

I would want to know where they got it from and who suggested it would be a good idea to send this information out to younger students.

How was the newsletter distributed, paper or by email?

This reminds me of a local girls’ grammar which through the 90s was known for its proselytising pro-anorexia groups. Older girls used to walk through the dining room making unpleasant remarks ridiculing younger students if they had taken big (ie normal) helpings. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been with today’s level of social media usage and Internet activity.
