Does Bunbury have an orchestra?

(Also, can just anyone start a Bunbury thread or do you have to be a Weighty Feminist? Apologies if so, I will retreat tugging my forelock.)

Someone mentioned the cornet. Can I bagsy the kettle drum?

Was there a thread that got deleted last night? I lay awake composing a reply about how tempering our need to speak the truth so as not to remind people of things that hurt them was patriarchal oppression in action (it sounded better in my head), only to find this morning that the thread wasn't showing up. Not to make this a TAAT, obvs... but does anyone know anything?

Also, coming back to the point, [tings triangle daintily].

I came here to ask that same question. And got side tracked into enjoying all the videos posted. Reminded me of watching the kids setting up their instruments and the happy buzx that gives any room. Pre-Covid my kids played in 5 orchestras, so I am a very experienced audience member).

Anyway, yes, I didn't post yesterday coz I wasn't quite in the right frame of mind and can't find it today either.

There's some definite weirdness around posting on MN today. Other people have reported missing posts in threads.

Is something weird happening to this thread? On my Threads I'm Watching I can see two posts about Aiken Drum. But the last post I can actually see on the thread is my own one clashing about.

When I click on the other posts from TIW it goes to page 1 of the thread.

I don't think it was aimed at here, because that happened to me last night when here and a couple of other threads were not letting me see the last two or three new posts.

Jeepers! That Aztec death whistle...

DH and I got stuck in a public square in Barcelona during a festival with dozens of Catalans all playing something like an oboe but 10x worse. It was nearly 20 years ago and DH still shudders if I mention it. It feels like FWR could do with a blast of that to clear the tourists too.
