This transwoman died after a fall and had drugs and alcohol in her system. 2 Post mortems came to the same conclusion.
No DV.

Do you just make things up as you go along @ASugarr? This is just the latest in this thread alone that you have stated as fact that has been shown to be incorrect.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 06/04/2021 00:34

Well I’m a woman, a feminist and I critically analyze gender identity ideology. Do I not exist?

TeiTetua · 05/04/2021 22:59

There isn't really such a thing as a gender critical feminist...

What, not even those trans-excluding radical ones?

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 05/04/2021 22:40

AdHominem, those GC slogans were painted on the outside walls of the LGBT centre, not on the transwoman’s memorial. Important difference.

The memorial seems to have been graffitied by a rightwing group that also vandalised two feminist murals.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 05/04/2021 18:56

I looked it up gender-critical feminism (uncountable)

A branch of radical feminism which is skeptical of gender, maintaining that a person's sex is distinct from their gender identity, and that sex is immutable. gender-critical feminism (uncountable)

A branch of radical feminism which is skeptical of gender, maintaining that a person's sex is distinct from their gender identity, and that sex is immutable. Those who hold such views often see transgender people as belonging to the gender they were assigned at birth, ,especially believing that trans women are not women and/or should not be included in female spaces.

That bit in italics is incorrect. They can be any gender they want to be, as I understand it GC feminist Those who hold such views often see transgender people as belonging to the SEX that was observed at birth,

No wonder I stopped supporting Wikipedia. Here they go again conflicting sex and gender. And aren't we allowed to define who WE are?

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 05/04/2021 18:41

So GC people aren't ok? How lovely.

CorvusPurpureus · 05/04/2021 18:23

@ASugarr

Well it's unknown who did it so no one can confirm or deny what. It's still a terrible thing. Also that doesn't make GC people okay or anything. Clearly whoever deframed the memorial was gender critical so still links there. There isn't really such a thing as a gender critical feminist (plus the murder thing is weird to input)...
Goodness, are you trying to deny my existence @ASugarr ?

This gives me the sads Sad.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 05/04/2021 18:03

Cotton can kill. True story.

334bu · 05/04/2021 18:02

Watch yourself deadly ribbons and crochet out there!

FeckTheMagicDragon · 05/04/2021 17:52

oh thanks Thecatonthemat, i'll go have a look

Thecatonthemat · 05/04/2021 17:46

Meanwhile to derail slightly, ForwomenScotland aNd Women are Human have some great pics of recent home grown activities, especially in Scotland.

Erkrie · 05/04/2021 17:44

Erkrie, I think the answer is just to ignore. Turn your back and ignore.

Yep. Absolutely this.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/04/2021 17:44

No, not unless the person is deliberately trying to provoke or inflame.

That's rather in the eye of the beholder.

334bu · 05/04/2021 17:41

As I have received no answer can I presume that ASugarr agrees with me that the tags on the LGBT Centre contained no transphobia??? My Spanish is OK but some of the tags were difficult to read so am I right?

Terranean · 05/04/2021 17:36

@AnyOldPrion I also thought it was strange the glass/Perspex was not damaged and the stencil fitted the memorial so well. Those two are like the scouts prepared for every eventuality.

Leafstamp · 05/04/2021 17:35

I consider that ASugar is here to provoke.

Me too. But that says more about her.

Some people get a dopamine hit from provocation. Very unhealthy.

Sophoclesthefox · 05/04/2021 17:32

No, not unless the person is deliberately trying to provoke or inflame

Hmm

And yet...

toffeebutterpopcorn · 05/04/2021 17:31

Last time I expressed myself on here, I got put on the naughty step...

toffeebutterpopcorn · 05/04/2021 17:30

Why not? Why is it not banned? The only people I see using it are people trying to get a rise
from /insult (mostly) women, or (mostly) women wanting to show how ‘right on’ they are.

It doesn’t generally get flung at men does it?

FeckTheMagicDragon · 05/04/2021 17:29

Erkrie, I think the answer is just to ignore. Turn your back and ignore.

Mummyoflittledragon · 05/04/2021 17:28

Ok that’s a better explanation than mine, I’m pissed off and I consider that ASugar is here to provoke. She knows it pisses us off. But she’s just using it to express herself apparently. Hmm

Mummyoflittledragon · 05/04/2021 17:27

@toffeebutterpopcorn

Can I ask - is the c word on the deletion list?
Officially yes, but unofficially, no.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 05/04/2021 17:26

Thank you to the people who replied. I will try and report and rephrase (and yes a list of banned acronyms would be very handy.)

So - I was musing on why I started out being sympathetic to trans people, without much understand of any of the mental issues involved, did not see them as a threat, and would support any request for social or medical assistance. But that over time, seeing the impact on women being vilified, doxxed, sacked, threatened, silenced - by activists (many who are not trans, but some particularly aggressive or litigious individuals are) I am now just angry.

Women (who after all are people) are turning away from supporting trans people precisely because of the actions of a very vocal, aggressive group who are demanding that we 'be kind'. Why would I continue to 'be kind' if I am threatened or attacked? I won't, I will just turn my back.

This kind of activism is so counter productive. I wish they would just stop.

Leafstamp · 05/04/2021 17:26

why she bothers coming on here to make an absolute fool of herself

It’s actually rather sad. It’s not a healthy thing to do for someone who struggles with their mental health IMO.
