I have clicked through from the FPFW website and taken a screenshot of the Order sealed by the High Court declaring that sex is what's on your birth certificate or GRC.

I think it is going to prove a useful attachment to my correspondence with various bodies in the future.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 17/03/2021 09:36

Amazing news, thanks to everyone involved! What’s next on the to do list? Grin

adviceseekingnamechanger · 17/03/2021 09:34

Amazing news! FPFW are truly brilliant women!! No to self-id, especially by stealth.

I'm sure the usual posters will be on here to whine about how transphobic accurate data/biological sex is while failing to acknowledge this means better planning for trans services.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 17/03/2021 09:30

This is what we have to do. Organisations need to know if they do this then women will fight back and it will cost them money.

Spot on I think, I think that trans ideology has taken over so many institutions as there has been no opposition.
I think that there has been recent success because sex based rights are sstill enshrined in law in the UK, I worry that when a Labour Government comes to power they will undermine them and the system will become corrupted.
-Hopefully by then though the high water mark of trans activism will have past as more and more problems become apparent.

TheRabbitOfCaerbannog · 17/03/2021 09:29

This is excellent news. Well done FPFW & congratulations! 👏👏👏

thirdfiddle · 17/03/2021 09:28

Fantastic news.
I hope the costs awarded are a good proportion of outlay. FPFW armed with legal war-chest, know how, experience and of course the legally correct ground - a formidable prospect!
But first I hope they and especially Nic W take a well earned break. Taking on the might of ONS and all their Stonewall captured buddies with only 2 weeks was it of crowd funding ? Phenomenal. All the WineCakeFlowersFlowers

CosmicVagina · 17/03/2021 09:26

Absolutely fantastic

BriocheForBreakfast · 17/03/2021 09:25

A huge well done and thank you to Dr Nicola Williams and FPFW! I am concerned that the ONS are going to ignore wrongly completed census forms but hopefully most people will complete them correctly.

TheTamingOfTheresa · 17/03/2021 09:19

Good good good. Well done FPFW. Well done all of us

OwBist · 17/03/2021 09:17

Fantastic update! Smile. Thanks to all who pushed for this, and let everyone else know about it in such clear terms.

Twistered · 17/03/2021 09:17

Great great news in a dark week Smile

Thenagainmaybetheydont · 17/03/2021 09:16

Excellent! Slightly sad that we don't get to have the court hearing as I was fairly confident FPW would win, but will take a win this way instead.

This is what we have to do. Organisations need to know if they do this then women will fight back and it will cost them money.

Organisations have given in to demands from TRAs sometimes because they have been wrongly advised and sometimes because they are afraid of the backlash and 'bad publicity'. We need to show that women will cause them just as much of a problem the other way.

talkingdeadscot · 17/03/2021 09:16

Fantastic news. All these victories add up, well done everyone at FPFW.

MorrisZapp · 17/03/2021 09:13

Absolutely bloody brilliant work!!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/03/2021 09:13

That was an x post McDuffy but I think relevant to your question!

justanotherneighinparadise · 17/03/2021 09:12

This proves that if we keep fighting we have the capacity to make reality matter. It’s not enough to just #bekind, this shit matters!!

Thecatonthemat · 17/03/2021 09:12

Congratulations to FPFW. What a great success, and getting costs too...fantastic. Thank you for all your work on getting clarity on this nonsense. There will be flouncing no doubt.

HermioneWeasley · 17/03/2021 09:12

Dr Nic Williams is an absolute shero

It’s an appalling waste of taxpayer money though - their legal fees and FPFW’s to defend their right to collect incorrect data. Nobody will be held accountable though.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/03/2021 09:12

It sends a message to other organisations that "getting ahead of the law" as advocated by trans lobby organisations is perhaps not advisable and may prove reputationally damaging and expensive.

McDuffy · 17/03/2021 09:12

What wider impact do you all expect this to have across government?

I completed the VAWG Home Office survey yesterday and told them to start by getting Stonewall out as they're giving Departments incorrect guidance!

CriticalCondition · 17/03/2021 09:08

Brilliant news! Thank you FPFW. The best twenty quid I've spent in years. Possibly ever.

Graffitiqueen · 17/03/2021 09:08

This is such excellent news. I hope FPFW will reserve some of the funds for the inevitable repeat fight when the Scottish census comes up.

Sacreblue · 17/03/2021 09:08

NISRA’s guidance also is birth cert or GRC so seems likely Scotland will have it too. Thank you to everyone who highlighted the issue, dug, supported Flowers

ErrolTheDragon · 17/03/2021 09:08

Excellent news.
And awarding costs means FPFW presumably now has a bit of a 'fighting fund'.

Re the paper copies, I guess those may still be relevant if you want to do anything other than ignore the 'gender identity' question?

highame · 17/03/2021 09:05

Thanks necessary & Chazs was having a bit of a wobble even though I thought it was firm.
