It turns out I'm a SuperLesbian

Not sure how I feel about this but it's winding up the TRAs an awful lot.

I guess SuperLesbian is preferable to vagina fetishist or gynophile and at least everyone knows where they stand.

It turns out I'm a SuperLesbian

It spread to LipstickAlley where it really resonated:

www.lipstickalley.com/threads/teens-superstraight-hashtag-goes-viral-trans-activists-threaten-to-kill-his-mother.4463413/

and was on Reddit where there was an enormous war which was decided in favour of trans activists and all the #supers were erased:

littlbrowndog · 12/03/2021 10:53

Yeah the Reddit was banned as was the fundraiser for Vancouver rape shelter

SapphosRock · 12/03/2021 10:48

Oh look there's even a new Facebook group for SuperLesbians and their allies:

I'm Superstraight and stand with all other Supers. I have no issue with anyone else's sexuality so please respect mine.

nauticant · 12/03/2021 10:33

I don’t think that the graphic is inclusive enough. What if a person is attracted only to men and pre-op transwomen or only women and pre-op transmen?

I think you've misunderstood the fundamental point being made here. Sexual orientations do not have to be "inclusive". If the person you mentioned wants to define their own sexual orientation I'm sure they would be supported in doing so by the #super community.

MarieFromStTropez · 12/03/2021 10:32

It could be argued that #superstraight/gay/lesbian/bi is the best thing to happen for feminism and gay rights for years.

SapphosRock · 12/03/2021 10:29

I've actually been blocked from one of my favorite lesbian groups this week for stating that exclusive same sex attraction should be celebrated and not challenged.

The LGBTQ thought police aren't happy about us SuperLesbians existing but we are here, we exist and we are valid.

@SapphosRock

It's all a bit silly and tongue in cheek but does raise important points. If anyone male or female is able to identify into being a lesbian then the word lesbian becomes meaningless. It would be useful to have a word that describes biological women who only want relationships with other biological women. And Super seems to be a pretty good word.
I’d agree. Congratulations on your Super status!!
Childrenofthestones · 12/03/2021 10:22

We've seriously reached the point where being called a bigot by some people can be worn as a badge of honour.

Bordois · 12/03/2021 10:20

Overeached

Bordois · 12/03/2021 10:20

The point is that after targeting women for not wanting to sleep with trans women the TRAs started to target men, and this is their (straight mens) response.

TRAs overreacted and got slapped down by having their own ideology reflected back at them.

nauticant · 12/03/2021 10:17

That's exactly what it is. They took trans activists' "logic" and word use, created a new "sexuality" and then watched as trans activists said:

  • your new sexuality/identity isn't valid
  • straight men should be open to sex with transwomen
  • lesbians should be open to sex with transwomen
  • you've driven me into a huge rage that I can't control myself
  • you should be killed.

That's how it's gone. But this time there were loads of men having fun with the #superstraight label who watched with utter astonishment at the violent uncontrolled rage coming from the trans activists as they made countless death threats against those who said they were #superstraight.

You know what though , this is about a young man who doesn’t want to be called transphobic and is looking for a label for himself that compromises. If this solves it for them , I’m fine with it. I hate the idea of people being pressurised to find others sexually attractive when they don’t. There should be no pressure or coercion in this area of your life. Is this a good thing? Off to read the other threads in case I’ve missed a strong argument against.

We just have to ensure that being super anything doesn’t get labelled as transphobic. We have to ensure that young people aren’t put under pressure to be cool / woke , and that everyone respects the individual’s right to define who they are sexually (clue is in the name) attracted to.

SapphosRock · 12/03/2021 10:03

@FullofCurryandparatha

Has anyone told the straightmenz that they are supposed to be attracted to transwomen (with penises)?

Who decided these new definitions? I'm so lost. What am I: woman married to a man who would probably sleep with, say, the Capt Marvel woman, but is really only actually attracted to a nice cup of tea and a sit down most of the time?

I believe this has come direct from the straightmenz

Lesbians have been instructed / educated / pressured / pleaded with for years to include trans women in their lesbianism and but nobody really noticed or cared because it was a problem happening to a group of women.

Now it's happening to straight men people are starting to take a bit more notice.

Super-bisexual is a fun one isn't it. All those genitals but only in that body/mind configuration.

Not sure what a "body/mind configuration" is meant to mean here- doesn't everyone have a different body/mind configuration? As a superbisexual I exclude people from my dating pool based on an irrational belief system and disconnection from material reality (and based on many other criteria too - realistically I'm not sure it counts as a sexual orientation the way that supergay, superlesbian and superstraight do but it's certainly a convenient label.)

IdblowJonSnow · 12/03/2021 10:01

I don't get it either!
I'm straight other than a few minor moments in my youth. Can I get a cape?

TigsytheTiger · 12/03/2021 10:00

To coin a phrase - what a load of old bollocks!

Igneococcus · 12/03/2021 09:52

I'm with Edna from the Incredibles "No capes". They only get in the way with all the derring do that supers are up to.

SunsetBeetch · 12/03/2021 09:51

@ChattyLion

I’m confused. If transwomen are women, and transmen are men, why do we need these new labels to distinguish between trans people’s identity labels and biological sex? Isnt this ‘transphobic’ by its own standards?
This isn't a TRA thing. It's a backlash to TRAs
YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/03/2021 09:51

Don't superheroes get silly underpants too?

Wearing on the head is optional.

@Puddymuddle

Does this mean I can put superwoman on the census then Grin
Yes, I'd say born women are superwomen. Grin
NonnyMouse1337 · 12/03/2021 09:50

I want my superbisexual cape. 😎
