It was tiny and pink so I should've highlighted Smile

Clymene · 11/03/2021 20:12

@Manderleyagain

Sam smethers retweeted her daughter (at the bottom of the shot)
Sorry! My mistake @McDuffy I missed that. Blush
TheWarbler · 11/03/2021 20:08

On the blob obviously - I hate autocorrect and having no edit button on MN!

MissBarbary · 11/03/2021 20:07

@TheWarbler

"on the blog" "womb-y"

Jesus ...

She deserves criticism rightly for that. I've never liked her.
Abhannmor · 11/03/2021 19:52

Poor old Caitlin. Never liked her vacuous twaddle. But I do see her predicament. Trouble is she is billed as a feminist.. .

Callmejudith · 11/03/2021 19:36

A total and utter embarrassment

AbsintheFriends · 11/03/2021 19:04

That Smethers/Sarkar tweet screenshot. Why don't they just say 'we want everyone to be safe from murderous male violence!'

They could maybe use the hashtag #AllLivesMatter

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 11/03/2021 18:54

@SisterWendyBuckett

Thick as mince. To quote our dearly departed Langcleg.
As always, LangCleg nailed it.

That excerpt from her “Moranthology” - less “fantastic” and more “irredeemably stupid, misogynistic bullshit”. IMHO.

Happinessisawarmcervix · 11/03/2021 18:47

@MummBraTheEverLeaking

Gah, it's just so depressing. She's being ratioed but serves her right to be honest. Time and again women say something, you think yes this is it, this matters and before you can say TRA she's backpedalling, apologising and 'doing better'

It really winds me up; I thought to myself, god forbid, if it was the other way round and you had a TW who was the victim of a horrific attack, another TW tweeted about the fear they specifically felt as TW, and got asked by a woman to please talk about ALL women, don't be exclusionary to other women.... Do you think they'd be retracting, apologising etc? Would they fuck! That woman would be strung up forevermore, it'd be like a scene out of Jaws.

Sorry, it just has got to me today. In a week that started with International Women's Day, with the exception of the FPFW victory, it has been rather a shit week for women actually. That poor woman, and her family, it's heartbreaking, and we still cannot talk about the realities of being a woman without apologising to fucking males Sad

It’s already happened, hasn’t it? Transwomen have a day of remembrance for those who’ve been murdered and GC person pointed out that in the UK there have been more TW murderers than victims. All hell broke loose. Racking my brains to remember who it was.

You can’t mention cunty women on TW remembrance day. But you can’t not mention TW when women-with-wombs have been kidnapped and murdered.

McDuffy · 11/03/2021 18:44

Sorry I wasn't clear Clymene Blush** yes, the retweet.

Flapjak · 11/03/2021 18:39

Have heard better from many teenagers. She really is an embarrassment to feminism

Annasgirl · 11/03/2021 18:36

@RozWatching

I'm so, so sick of this vacuous bollocks.

'I'm not a screw SOME women kind of person'
That's exactly what you are, Caitlin. See eg incarcerated women who are being locked up with rapists because woman is a feeling.

This.

I read her first book and loved it. But I refuse to buy her second book. DSis rolled her eyes at me - apparently I’m too invested in this trans lark 🙄

But as we said on another thread, these women who make a bloody living out of being ‘feminists’ while ignoring reality, know exactly what biology is - they are just too afraid to say it.

And yet they believe they are the modern successors to the suffragettes - well no ladies, you are the modern equivalent of the women who tut tutted the suffragettes.

Sam smethers retweeted her daughter (at the bottom of the shot)

Clymene · 11/03/2021 18:27

@McDuffy

She's deleted the tweet (after Ash Sarkar quote retweeted) Sam Smethers formerly of the Fawcett Soc maintaining her previous form Hmm
I'm no fan of Sam Smethers but that's Rachel Smethers of Jolly's Good Law Project, not Sam.
McDuffy · 11/03/2021 18:23

Wtaf has this got to do with TW?
I'm hoping a few more people are wondering the same.

Quite

Janaih · 11/03/2021 17:46

I do not identify with this Bullshit.

HermioneWeasley · 11/03/2021 17:42

God, she’s pathetic - craven and cowardly. She knows exactly what a woman is, but is so desperate to be cool and liked she throws all women, especially the most vulnerable, under the bus.

What’s the opposite of integrity? That’s her.

McDuffy · 11/03/2021 17:42

Haha just got that 🤦‍♀️ took me a while!

DaVinyl · 11/03/2021 17:38

@nauticant

Also, Moranthology appears to have been mis-spelt.
Grin
McDuffy · 11/03/2021 17:37

Good point Cardinal
Like when chief handmaiden Jameela Jamil said she "took all of them" Hmm

Babdoc · 11/03/2021 17:36

Couldn’t her far superior colleague Janice Turner take her aside and, you know, explain feminism 1.1 to the gormless fool?

CardinalLolzy · 11/03/2021 17:31

If she really thought that TWAW then they too would just be "women without wombs", no seperate mention needed.

Exactly grabthar, this is the sort of thing i was referring to in another thread. It's a sham belief. I have more respect for the people that have reorganised their views of the world and the humans in it to at least try and assimilate this belief (probably not being clear, but the discussion is on another thread! )

"Anyone who’s been rejected by The Man is a friend of mine!"
The assumption that anyone who is a member of any "disadvantaged" class or an underdog in any way is a good egg is so facile. Would she consider the racist Yaniv a friend?

McDuffy · 11/03/2021 17:28

She was the reason I subscribed to The Times when it went behind the paywall. Janice Turner is why I still pay!
