The Green Party has no interest in the protection of women and children.

If the radio show 'Does the Team Think?' ever comes back, these bods would be ideal.

Next question:

Contestants: What is the difference between a donkey, a mule, and an ass? You can ask as many friends as you like. (And I'm sure you will).

When I found the newspaper article, starring the four green muppets, I thought it was made up. Then I found the link to the Youtube vid and my jaw dropped. How could any sane person vote for people who think like that?
The problem with losing good people like Dom, is that we are losing people from politics who represent common sense, who represent the majority of people in the UK.

Sorry, forgot to add that tweet includes a transcript and the replies are gold.

Some of the candidates for Deputy Leadership of
@TheGreenParty
attempt to answer one of the really, really difficult questions of the day:

What is a woman?

Featuring
@NickHGreen

@TomPashby

@Amelia_Womack
and
@CleoDanceBaton

Which is your favourite?
Plus a Youtube video (Voiceover) to go with it.
Cleo is the funniest Greenie on that. Asked "What is a woman?", she replies "I haven't had time to dig into the various ins and outs". Hilarious!

The time for a new environmental party is coming I think, one that prioritises science and reality. Maybe as more people become aware of whats going on with the trans issue.

WeRoarSometimes · 11/03/2021 10:13

If that isn't a big conflict of interest, I don't know what is.
She could at least be open about it.

Part of the reason the self ID and gender idealogy issues are so frightening is how they want to introduce everything via stealth. Any efforts to shine a light on this are met with threats, misogyny or accusations of transphobia.

The Green Party are not recognisable at all any more. The Covid pandmic was an ideal time to think about introducing in more sustainable development, transport methods etc. They've lost their way.

RozWatching · 11/03/2021 10:09

It almost feels like I am making this up, I still can't believe this is the party I've given 6 years of my life to. I witnessed appalling behaviour by the most senior people in the party, many of whom I'd admired for years (apart from Jenny Jones, who was magnificent). The dawning of this reality was quite crushing, but sobering too. What’s worse is the fact that many of our senior figures profess to hold the high moral ground on many issues, but in fact, they are as bad, if not worse, than our political foes.

Sad but true. Well said, Dom.

BabySharkdodoo · 11/03/2021 10:08

My husband has just said that he will not be voting green again (voted green for the last 20 years). It used to be a vote to show how much he valued the environment and risks of global warming, but now it seems to be a vote for supporting the removal of women's rights

WindyPudding · 11/03/2021 09:56

Very well put and well said by Dom. It is unbelievable as he says.

StillFemale · 11/03/2021 09:04

That’s a good resignation letter. Thank-you Dom

HermitsLife · 10/03/2021 08:57

Misogynistic and stupid😕 Who'd have thunk it.

Well played Green Party, well played

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 10/03/2021 08:56

Why on earth announce that you are going to lie on a legal document which will mean a fine

Thats a really stupid thing to do

Beamur · 10/03/2021 08:44

I get that for some transpeople, indicating their birth sex is uncomfortable. But if this is answered incorrectly, it will skew the census into recording transwomen as women - whilst that may be their intention, you have to consider the reasons for taking the census. It's to provide accurate data for the Government to use in forming policy and allocating spending.
If transpeople without a GRC vanish from the demographic, then the Government is unlikely to conclude that more and better services for those people are needed.

BraveBananaBadge · 10/03/2021 08:38

That is some ratio, pp! I'm sure they'll only consider it a hateful pile on of phobes denying their existence, etc. Looks like the only reply they've bothered to interact with is a GP spokesperson and ignored the rest.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 10/03/2021 08:00

I really don't understand why transpeople are literally erasing themselves Hmm

JustTurtlesAllTheWayDown · 10/03/2021 08:00

I see Bristow has stated multiple times in that thread that they are actually female.

OhHolyJesus · 10/03/2021 07:42

Bristow is getting ratioed

twitter.com/katbristowgreen/status/1369353917448994822?s=21

The guidance will say refer to your birth certificate or GRC, with Bristow doesn't have.

With those responses they can subtract the number of GRCs. Though that's ineffective as it doesn't give numbers in the male/female split, but it's better than Self ID of sex and the argument to remove the gender identity question was never made, that is an optional extra.

JustTurtlesAllTheWayDown · 10/03/2021 06:21

'So doesn't really change anything, I and most trans women are going to put female still, trans men are still going to put male. Will just make the data a little less consistent."

That's just bloody stupid. What do they think the census is for? It's not for validation. All they're doing is making it harder for the govt and various other bodies to determine what trans-specific resources and services are needed. They're shooting themselves in the foot.

Xanthangum · 10/03/2021 01:22

In the light of today's legal ruling, Bristow has straight up admitted to completing the census incorrectly, which is illegal. Way to go.

Yep and is now apparently a councillor candidate.

None of this, gender Gp included, is stacking up well when it comes to trust and safeguarding, is it?
