Hasbro rebrands Mr Potato Head

Mr Potato Head is no more. He has been given a gender neutral name, he's now just plain old Potato Head.
Presumably Mrs Potato Head has been given the chop too.

I wonder what accessories they will come with now.
And I wonder what toys will be next.
Any ideas?

I think this is ridiculous. They could at least have called him it they the potato head person something more inclusive like Mx Potato Head or NB Potato Head or Vegetable-Related Effigy Representation.
They could go with ''Mx Po-they-to head'', to really be on the safe side.

Its funny because whenever I hear the term 'assigned at birth' I imagine the midwife sticking genitals on babies like a Mr Potato Head toy. Grin

I assume they just decided they could use this as an excuse to just produce one basic product and lots of lovely £££ accessories kits.

If they're not changing the accessories, they're just saying male is default.

I don't believe anyone looks at a Mr Potato Head and thinks, "hmm, could be a girl".

Good to hear that Hasbro are tackling really important things.

Maybe they'll also rename Sindy as Sandy so it can self identify easier?
